after interview, no result??

for me It has been a year since i first apply.... Now try going on 8 months since my interview and still nothing....smh

When I filed in November 2011, some fellow VJ members who filed at the same time in NY were waiting for about 3 months from biometrics to receiving an interview letter. It all depends how busy the local office is. According to the USCIS website, in the NY field office, they are currently processing N-400s from March 2012.

stop checking your status online.. those are not accurate anyway.. checking every week will not help you in the agony of waiting.. just know you have applied and this is the last step of your long journey.. i never checked my status when i applied.. but just to appease you, it is an election year and records show that the uscis approves as much as they can for the purpose of new voters ( check my timeline below ).. since you are already too close to the election month, my guess is that they are slowing down the process.. there were 900++ of us when i took my oath..

A slight movement on my case, on Sat, October 6 I have received a yellow letter asking me to bring additional documents to my interview. I hope someone was reviewing my case, and that actual interview date notification is coming soon.

So my question are these:

- does the 90 day waiting period reset from a new notification, or does it still keep the original date when the case was put in the interview line

- yellow letter was issued by NBC, so i assume the case is still located there. At what point in the process does a case file get transferred to a local field office, and who actually setups schedule...NBC or field office?

- any Westchester residents on? Was your interview at the Queens Field office or Manhattan?

I got a YL a week ago. I believe the 90 days remains the same - from when your status online indicates you're in line. I asked a general question here about IL and where it comes from - was told it also comes from NBC. I'm in ATL but I believe you and I are in a similar timeline.

So I did a second service request back on Oct 2 , 2012 and today i got the the status of the service request:

Your N-400 case is currently under review. You should receive a decision or notice of other action within 90 days from the date of this letter.

The saga continue there is still hope a year later!...
