Bit of help required.

On form ds-156k it asks me to submit birth certificate, evidence of engagement, evidence of financial support, police certificates.

Evidence of engagement, do I send receipt for ring ?

Evidence of financial support, is this mine of my fiancées, which we were told only goes with me at interview.

Could anyone clarify

Thanks

Evidence of financial support if from the us citizen. Last 3 pay stubs, letter from employer, I-134, bank statements and any co-sponsor information if you have one.

Evidence of engagement is proof of relationship. Skype calls, emails, fb chats and so on. If you have a receipt for an engagement ring submit it if you want. As well as any boarding passing, passport stamps and itineraries if you've traveled since the I-129f petition.

Also check how long the police certificate if valid. For Chile we have to get it no earlier than 2 months before the interview or they do not accept it.

Good luck

I agree. This is consulate specific, so I suggest checking the requirements of the British consulate/embassy. The consulate in Germany requires everything to be sent in advance, for example, while other consulates ask you to bring your documents to the interview.

Evidence of Engagement is not what you described. It's a new letter of intent signed and dated. London doesn't give a rat's bottom about Skype calls.

Mark,

As pointed out by other members, your question is Consulate Specific. London does thing their way, and sometimes is not even remotely close to the others.

The thread suggested by LeftCoastLady, contains accurate information for your Embassy. You will find your answers there.
