Want to know if any of you have done this.. or is a baby not allowed at the embassy at all ? Just want to make sure. We just dont have anybody to leave our 9 months old daughter, and for now, I'm still not comfortable for a nanny :( . I am renewing my passport and planning to report daughter's birth at the same time, if it is possible and if it's not a hassle.

Anyone ? Will appriciate any info. Thanks all !

Daughter is a USC, there should be zero issue, besides part of the reason for being there involves her.

I don't know that I would bother getting a passport for the daughter, even with dual citizenship the USA requires her to travel using the US passport, not sure of the benefit of having a Philippine passport.

I'm only stating the fact that it can be done while they're there. It is up to the couple if they deemed it necessary to get their daughter the Philippine passport.good.gif

Do you have plans in getting your daughter a Philippine passport? If so, you can apply for it that same day.

Thank you for that information. I thought you had to wait for the birth certificate to be recorded at the NSO.

I'm thinking of getting a Philippine passport for my kids as well for collection purposes. :D

I understand that, and I was only pointing out a fact also. Having a Philippine passport is next to useless as a USC.
