honestly I dont think the Egyptian embassy has done one thing right in my process. Never mailed me a packet 3. finally I got emailed them after a month, and they basically said " oops sorry yeah, we sent that to the wrong address, but never let you know via email, or phone call".. cool no problem.. now im waiting for 4 months for these incompetent people to schedule me an interivew. it seems like scheduling an interview is the easiest part of the process. but not to those people. its not like we ask for much.. JUST DO YOUR JOB

If I lived in any of these countries like Egypt, Syria, Iran, etc.... My only goal in life would be to get out of there FAST!

best of luck to you!

After receiving our new updated docs on Sunday. We were told my husband had to come in today, Tuesday and sign form DS-230 in person. After a few questions, officer told him the visa was approved and that we would receive it in two weeks. Thanks god. Finally we will be together.

That is great news!!!! I hope he gets it in 5 days! Is his work contract finished? Will he be able to come quickly? I think if I was him I would leave the day I got my passport to make sure they don't change their minds!! LOL

Where did you mail your letter to the ambassodor and what did you say to get their attention? Was it just the facts of your case? Was it an emotional letter or both?

I am so proud of your persistance and tolerance. You are amazing. You have waiting over a year in AP and you waited a long long time for your interview.

He will have the IR1 when he comes so at least he gets the 10 year green card and no more forms until citizenship in 3 years!!!!

Now we just have to wait for Aly and Carol and Meno to get their visas and we can have a party down in Florida!!! yeah!!

CONGRATS my friend. God Bless you.

Please tell Ahmed

" WELCOME TO AMERICA!!!!!!!!!!"

You are the flip side of the song "I fought the law and you WON" Baby. Congratulations

Love it when people don't take no for an answer.

Thank you all for the congratulations.

Micki, my letter was to the point and addressed to the Ambassador, sent by FEDEX. I pointed out their mistakes and sent proof each one. I wasn't emotional at all, very professional and polite, but they did get the point that it wasn't acceptable. I mentioned that I'd hope that by doing this it wasn't going to her our case and hoped the Ambassador could review our case and see what she could do to help out case get completed. I also sent the same letter by email and CC: Cairo Embassy, DOS and USCIS. Maybe that's what made them move faster that the other agencies were made aware of their staff's errors. Or maybe it was just our time. Who knows. All that matters is he was finally approved and they said he would get it in two week or less.

I am very happy and excited. Can't wait to know he has it in his hands and has his ticket bought.
