After being in AP (Administrative Processing) for a year since our interview date, they screw up again. Last week I sent the Cairo Embassy a case status inquiry on our since we were coming up to one year. They replied that we had a final interview Oct 3, 2012 at 7:30am. That I didn't need to be present and that my husband should bring his passport and medical exam.

My husband had been working in Czech Republic for the last month, he changed his return flight home $250 after, he did the medical exam again about $70 and pay for a hotel room for the overnight stay. He gets there on time, is called to the window, asked why he is there, he tells them because of the paper you have in your hands. She reads the email and tells him to take a seat and he will be called again. After 10 minutes, they tell him, "Sorry Mr. Ahmed the Email was not for you, it was a mistake, we are sorry, that the case that had an interview today was CRO2012...... not CRO2011......"

Really!! Seriously!!!!!!! Can you believe this #######? How incompetent can they be? Wouldn't you think that they would confirm the name and case number match? We even sent them multiple emails regarding the subject on the same email thread. You would think that either of the two staff members that answered us would have caught it.

We are so pissed off at the stupidity.

I am at a loss for words. I think now is a good time to write the ambassador a certified letter explaining this and the added cost, loss of work, travel, hotel,time....omg I just cannot believe this.

Why is it that the Cairo, Egypt Embassy doesn't seem very professional?

The way they deal with people interviewing, the outright rudeness that is totally uncalled for and so many cases seem to have too many mistakes occurring. Sometimes you have to wonder if they are mistakes :unsure: We wish you both the very best (F)

That is messed up. They should compensate him for their mistake. It cost him to be there. The negligent just get off without a slap on the hand, though, I'm sure.

Truly a mess!

They put you in a lot of expense for nothing. I would send a formal complaint for this.

December 15, 2012: POE Atlanta....................became USC July 2016!!!!
