Thanks Teddy. I am still trying to find out if I can do so and apply for a H4 here...Tried to call travel state gov but they have no answer.

Yea, i applied late August. So they took less than 2 mths.

You can file for H4 while you're in the states as long as you are in legal status. You will need to get married and file for H4 before your extension expires. How long did they give you on your extension?
