You can download the forms from the US Department of State website here: http://travel.state.gov/visa/immigrants/types/types_2994.html

Filipino K-1 applicants DO NOT fill out DS-230.

You can call the National Visa Center if you have not already and obtain your MNL case number. With your case number and passport, you can pay the visa fee at a BPI branch and schedule your interview. The USC should receive a letter from NVC as well with this number.

For the Manila embassy interview packet instructions, please click the link in my signature. This will take you to the page where you can download a comprehensive list of what you need to bring to the interview.

You'll need DS-157 and I-134 also

USEM will not mail these forms anymore as they're easily accessible online. All forms required during interview will be on this link.

This isn't Jessa, but you're welcome anyway. DS-230 part 1 is included NOW. The embassy updated the instructions. Follow embassy instructions. The link is in my sig. Medical is first come, first serve. You can't do it at least until you have your NVC letter. Check St. Luke's website for required documents. No, you don't have to wait for the letter. The same info. is in the downloadable instructions. You need the MNL number to schedule your interview. You get this from NVC. Forms are filled electronically and printed. Without knowing your exact troubles, I can't help. DS-156 is a little more special in that it generates a bar code and completed form before you print. Just follow the instructions with it, and you should be fine. If your still having difficulty with the forms, just tell me more specifically.

Let me clear up what I said a little because I don't want you to be confused about the letters.

You NEED at least the NVC letter and MNL number for your medical exam. You can call NVC to get your number. The letter will be delivered to the USC about a week after the case is forwarded to the embassy. You can also bring your interview appointment confirmation letter. You can print/save copies of this if you schedule your interview online. You will need at least one or the other and photocopies. The specifications are on the St. Luke's website.

You DON'T NEED the embassy letter (a separate letter of instructions sent to the beneficiary) to schedule your interview. You just need to have paid the fee and have your MNL number. As I said, the instructions that the embassy sends can all be downloaded from the embassy website. Even if you save or print a copy, you should check it periodically for updates. The update to include DS-230 Part 1 appeared by the end of November so when you started this thread, DS-230 wasn't included. Best to check it every couple of weeks or so and a few days before your interview.

Sorry to jump in but now I have a question.

You said in order to schedule your Medical you need the NVC letter. But the NVC letter gets sent to the USC? So I'll get the NVC letter and then I'll have to turn around and mail it to my fiancee in PI in order for her to do her medical? Seems a bit backwards to me.

Thanks in advance.

Any response on this TnJ?

Sorry. I haven't been on as much since our interview and now the holidays. Yeah, it is required to have either the NVC letter OR the Appointment Confirmation Letter. Yes, the USC receives the NVC letter. It is silly the beneficiary doesn't get a copy, but the letter is simply addressing the case, assigning a case number, and making the USC aware that the case has been forwarded to the requested consulate.

On there it says ;if available.

Does that mean you can get buy by just having the Manila Case Number?

Is a photocopy ok? If I get it and have to send it I'll just scan it and email it to her to print off.

Thanks again.
