Hi,

The step by step instructions say:

"I-693, Medical Examination of Aliens Seeking Adjustment of Status.I-693, Medical Examination of Aliens Seeking Adjustment of Status. If you are a K-1, K-2, K-3 or K-4 visa holder the I-693 instructions state that you are not required to have another medical examination as long as your Form I-485 is filed within one year of your overseas medical examination. If you are missing any shots from your overseas medical a I-693 vaccination transcription is required to be completed by seeing a Civil Surgeon to have certain portions of the I-693 completed and have the Civil Surgeon certify the form (sealing the original in an envelope and giving you a copy)."

Do you need to submit anything from the overseas med exam? How do you know if you are missing shots?

Thanks

I submitted a copy of my DS-3025 (The record of the vaccines they gave at the medical). At the medical they gave the shots that were missing, so i assume that means you should not be missing any. I haven't gotten any RFEs to date and my EAD was approved today so i assume that means everything is fine with what i submitted.

St. Lukes already gave you all of the vaccinations you need for AOS purposes. You should be able to submit your DS-3025 vaccination report with your AOS packet, and not get an RFE for an I-693.

However, some people are getting an RFE when they don't send in an I-693. It's a dart toss whether or not you will get an RFE.

It's safer to have a Civil Surgeon transcribe your DS-3025 onto an I-693. That's what Chinook did. It cost about $40 and took about 20 minutes.

St. Luke's will tell you if you have to do follow up vaccination here in US.. I was told to get influenza and tdap here in US.. the nurse told me that I'll gonna need it for work or school here..

@ Tahoma Jesse and I went to medical care this afternoon to transcribed my ds3025 onto I-693.. Jesse will get it on Friday after work.. thank you for your advice.. your such a blessing :)

Btw it cost us 50$.. not bad I guess.. the other cs was charging us 120$ and wanted to re-do my physical exam.. lol

I'm glad you found a Civil Surgeon who knows the drill for K-1'ers. The CS charged you a reasonable price for the transcription. Now you won't have to worry about an RFE.

Yes, St. Lukes will tell you that you have to get follow-up vaccinations in the U.S. TDap is one of them. However, you don't need to get it for AOS purposes. The USCIS will waive the second dose because there hasn't been enough time between your medical and your AOS filing for you to have your second dose. As for the flu vaccination, it applies only during flu season, so it also can be waived.

So, you should be good to go once you submit the I-693.

Salamat po for your kind words. :star:

Btw do you know if we should answer the "part 5" in I-131 form?

You don't need to answer part 5. Skip down to Part 7.
