Hello I have a couple questions, I just had my first interview In Ciudad Juarez. The officer informed me that I had over stayed my visitor visa and denied my petition. After that she gave a paper for a waiver. I followed instructions on it and scheduled an interview for December the 4th. I was just wondering after the second interview (hopefully its approved) how long am i going to be waiting for this response since my mother whom is petitioning for me is becoming very ill because of my departure.

The waiver is a lot more than just the paper, it's a major prjoect including a packet of evidence and lots of proof of the hardship to your mother if you are not permitted to immigrate to the US. And if speed is a major concern, I suggest using the option to file the waiver with the lockbox in the US rather than waiting for a waiver appointment in Juarez and then waiting likely another 6-8 weeks there if it's "immediately" approved or much longer if they decide they want more time to look at it (common). Through the lockbox, approvals are being seem within as little as a month and they are using a seemingly generous standard of hardship right now, so yur chances actually might be both better and faster through the lockbox than through Juarez. There is a LOT of information about preparing a waiver, going through Juarez, and going through the Lockbox at this site, and I strongly recommend you go there and read around to get an idea of which option is the best for you and how to compile an approvable waiver packet:

Long story short, we have a complicated case. We've been at this for nearly 5 years. You can read our story here. I highly recommend our attorney Laurel Scott, as well as attorneys Laura Fernandez and Lizz Cannon .

Filed I-130 via CSC in Feb 2008. Petition approved June 2008. Consular interview in Mexico, Oct 2008, visa denied, INA 212a6cii. We allege improper application of the law in this case.

2012, started over in Seoul: I-130 filed DCF on 7/2, I-130 approved 8/8, Medical at Yonsei Severance 11/20, IR1 appointment in November 2012.

CRBA filed 1-3-13 at Seoul for our daughter
