Moving from current apartment

Hi everyone,

I sent my I-751 form at the end of May, and I went to get my biometrics taken already. My spouse found work in a different state, moved there alone and would come back in the weekends, but we are going to move to that state soon, so we all can be together raising our son.

My question is, would it be a problem if I informed the USCIS that we will be needing to move to a different state soon. Would they make it a problem that my spouse been in a different state for almost the last 3 months ( except the weekends )?

Also, we are intending to keep the old apartment till the end of the lease anyway, we were thinking about just moving and some of our friends would come and check our mail from now and then. Is there a point of telling them till God willing they send the new green card and then ill change the address?

I don't think its a big deal, i just wanted to make sure that im not missing anything.

Did you file at the California Service Center? You don't have your timeline filled out so it's hard to judge just where you might be in the process. If you're CSC then you should get a decision soon. If you're at the VSC then you might want to go ahead and change your address. I would base my decision whether to change it or not on that.
