Medical was uneventful. Fiance went last week to get shots in Sav-la-mar at the clinic there. They accepted that shot record at the Medical Exam last Thursday. It was at Mobay Hope in Rose Hall. He was an hour early but they let him check in early. (have to say I was proud that he was early given his laid back style lol) Xray, blood drawn and paid fee. Doctor said all looked good and was in order and come back on Oct. 10th to pick up the envelope. Our interview is Oct 12th in Kingston.

I am in Jamaica and it has been raining HARD in Negril. We are getting our items ready for the interview.

OH FYI he was there about 5 1/2 hours total.

thank you all for your good wishes......anyone who has already paid fee at NCB can you please help with my question in other post? re: what to take? what to ask for? what to bring back?

Just take Passport/ID and the cash. Tell them at the tell you are paying for a k1 visa. It should be about 21,600 and they will give you a pink slip that shows that you paid.I don't remember but i think you might have to have the KNG #, so have that too just in case.

I am surprised that he had no problem having gotten the shots elsewhere. I saw in another thread the person was told that the embassy would only accept them being given from the doctor doing the medical and they had to go get them again.

velrich I saw that post but the majority of input mentioned it was OK. He did not have a childhood shot so he had to get four on the list for his age group. They created an official shot record which he took to the Exam and it was accepted at Mobay Hope.

Sure asset.....in our experience in USD$:

$130 Shots at Clinic in Sav(depending on which ones on the list in the Instructions they need) He had four noted on the new Shot Record as TD, MMR, Varicella & Hep B.

$116 Medical exam Fee

$15 Travel from Country to Rose Hall (Mobay Hope) roundtrip

$10 Passport Photos (with required format)

so $271US for us
