Good Day Fam, So I have everything needed for package 3 DS-230 Part I&II, DS-156, DS-156K and even DS-157 though I don't really know if the DS-157 is needed. I would like to email it all at once to the embassy. My question is, Am I being too presumptuous? should I just send the DS-230 Part I&II and wait on the other paperwork? and do I even need the DS-157? I know I'm anxious  but I wanna be sure, Thanks guys

Did the Embassy receive your case? Once they receive it, you can email DS-230 part I signed by your fiance. They will not schedule an interview date until they receive part I of this form.

DS-156, DS-157, and DS-156K should be completed by the fiancé(e) who intends to immigrate to the United States. Those forms should be brought to the visa interview. DS-230 part I & II will also be brought to the interview with the original signature.

Jamaica does not participate in electronic filing of forms. The only form the accept is DS -230 part I, and it has to be a signed copy by the beneficiary. You need to call NVC to see if they have your file, and when it was sent to Jamaica. Also, you will need your case number, it starts with KNG. The number you were using for your records before is not admissible now.

I have my KNG # but the file has been with NVC since 9/20  and no it has not been sent to Kington yet....Don't know what they are waiting for but thought they could open a provisional file until they get it. everything was signed by my fiance I have an original and so does he. We have been so prepared as far as paperwork that it's been sitting waiting for each step :bonk:

Ok, you need to wait til the Embassy receives your case to send the DS-230. Hang in there! As they always say, it's in AP:-( Have you called NVC recently?

I agree. Save you time, makes no sense sending in the Ds230 before the case is there, you wont get a response.

NVC is funny like that. You never know if it is sent in 3 days or 14 days.

I contacted NVC today and they told me what they told me last week...."call back next week" ....I got the message fam, wait and stay patient. thanks I needed that. I guess after years of waiting, we are trying to jump the gun a little and figure out how to speed it up...my fiance and I are so close yet still so far, but Thanks again I can't tell you how much reading everyones experience has helped a persistant person like me stay sane

Yes, hang in there Shelly . . . took NVC a month before they sent my petition to Kingston. Now I am awaiting an interview date. Geesh . . . :bonk:
