I just got this email from USCIS news. I posted to let everyone know seems this is a hot topic. And yes its a good thing.

Hi guys,

I am tracking my petition on the USCIS website (still in the I-130 stage.) Today it says

"On September 26, 2012, we transferred this I130 IMMIGRANT PETITION FOR RELATIVE, FIANCE(E), OR ORPHAN to another office for processing because they now have jurisdiction over the case. We sent you a notice of this transfer. Please follow any instructions on this notice. You will be notified by mail when a decision is made, or if the office needs something from you. If you move while this case is pending, please use our Change of Address online tool to update your case with your new address or call our customer service center at 1-800-375-5283."

Is that a good/bad thing? Or is that just standard protcol?

So I spke to USCIS today about my I130 being transferred to NBC and they said NBC is currently working on april16 petitions and that I should here something in 140 days, but now that I checked that link I realized I am not at NBC but at my local field office so Im hoping it will be earlier for me to get my NOA2. Also do you think the field offices will want to interview tge petitioners?

We are all on the same boat here with being transferred to the NBC. Looks like us all being transferred to the NBC might not be a bad thing afterall (i.e. petitioner interviews). Let's all hope it's good news for us and keep patience until we get through this! :)

so if my husband lives in utah!! our case is in the utah USCIS Office>?

Accordning to the email yes it is at the local field office that your zipcode corresponds to.

What do you mean by petitioner interviews? Do we (the beneficiaries) not need to be interviewed anymore, as we are transferred to NBC? Do we now skip the NVC process and stick completely with NBC and the field offices for the rest of the process? Or, after the NBC and field offices do we get transferred to NVC to complete the process?

Does anyone have any idea, or are we all in the dark here?

the process has not changed just the office who adjudicates the petition. Once you have the NOA2 it will go to NVC just like everybody else.

Because the starting date is Aug 15 and it is just now Oct 1 so there are not a lot of people ahead of your petition and this should speed up the approval timeframe. At least I hope so! :)
