Hi guys,

I am tracking my petition on the USCIS website (still in the I-130 stage.) Today it says

"On September 26, 2012, we transferred this I130 IMMIGRANT PETITION FOR RELATIVE, FIANCE(E), OR ORPHAN to another office for processing because they now have jurisdiction over the case. We sent you a notice of this transfer. Please follow any instructions on this notice. You will be notified by mail when a decision is made, or if the office needs something from you. If you move while this case is pending, please use our Change of Address online tool to update your case with your new address or call our customer service center at 1-800-375-5283."

Is that a good/bad thing? Or is that just standard protcol?

It happened to me also. Seems that many Aug and Sept 2012 petitions are being transferred to Lees Summit, Missouri which is the National Benefits Center (NBC). I was told that they are helping with case overloads but who knows for sure why?

It happened to me also. they sent me this email last week monday and after i received a notice by mail that it was sent to Lee,Mo and then last friday , they changed it on USCIS that my petition is at the office and now in processing. so i don't think is bad. because when i received it at the first time, i thought it was bad before i was advised and i decided to keep it cool and now all is going well again. so don't worry, it is good

How long after they notified you of the transfer from CSC to NBC that they updated it to being processed at USCIS?

Please keep your timelines updated (both VJ and signature) with as much detail as possible. This way we can all see how the system is behaving behind the scenes. That's the only way we have to try to understand this monster. Thanks!!

I will make a signature timeline today. Our dates are very close to the same for filing and even the wedding date ours was 7-12-10 :)

Nice! This will be a good experiment which should yield interesting data.
