Confused AP Status, need help!

Hi everyone. I need advice. My petitioner involved Congressmen in our case as we were not updated after interview since 17th July, 2012 for our K1 visa. The good news was that on 24th September, 2012 we were responded so nicely by our congressman that the visa had been approved and will be with me within a week's time. But it has been past a week and I just tried getting through the DOS which still say that the case is under AP which seems confusing since we were told the visa had been approved.

What should I do now? Wait wait wait? or any other better advice?

First of all - Congrats!!!!

Second of all - The K-1 Visa shows that it has been issued in a different window than do other Visa types. If I were you I would call back and check again, but this time if they tell you AP remind them that it is a K-1 Visa and could they check the other screen to be sure.

Also, my fiance got his Visa about 2 weeks after they told me that it had been issued. AmercianExpress just called him out of the blue one day to come and pick up a package.

Inshallah a bit more patience and you should have your Visa!
