Thanks for the advice- my husband ended up calling back, and of course, they gave him the IIN!

I swear it's harder for the beneficiary calling sometimes!

Thankfully, I had no issues when I called in (my husband never did, lol). I've heard of some operators refusing to help beneficiaries, even though they're supposed to headbonk.gif

called today on the off chance and got a "case closed"!!!

i will still have to rollover to the november thread while i wait for a interview, but still great way to start my halloween night....and in chile, tomorrow and friday are national holidays!! 4 day weekend come to mama!! sending my good vibes to those waiting review of docs! :)

any other threads I should be brushing up on while waiting for his interview? (besides regional stuff of course....chile has about zippo :) )

Grats! kicking.gif No real threads to follow yet until you get an interview date assigned. Then I'd suggest reading up on some sample interview questions to practice.

Still no case complete for us :(

It's been 15 days since our RFE documents were delivered to the NVC. I really don't see us getting a December interview anymore and all I want to do is cry. No Halloween celebration for me. Hiding away at home.

Just because it was delivered 15 days ago does NOT mean it's been available to be reviewed. Remember, like I said earlier, NVC was closed for a day or two because of the hurricane. And remember too that weekends do NOT count. Only count business days in which NVC is open.

CASE COMPLETE ON OCT 25!

Grats! kicking.gif It does happen every now and then where an EP person doesn't get the case complete email, or it'll be delayed by quite a few days. The recent hurricane might have something to do with it in your case too.

I've got some vanilla and chocolate ice cream in the freezer, but the wine I'm saving for my wife (I don't drink, well I do but very rarely and very little).

The heck with the diet I am finishing off the last of the ice cream and a muffin. No wine though dang. Thank you Mr. Borkstrom. WOW tomorrow a new NVC Filers thread Lets see June, July, August, September. October, now November.

Did I surprise you now? Sorry just frustrated.

Thats what it means you aren't in their system yet. From the date you got approved (NOA2) to NVC give them about a good week usually takes longer. But do keep calling. Took me 31 days to get there.

If I account for the missed day due to the hurricane it's been 10 business days I believe.

The original AOS got reviewed in 9, my DS-230 in 7 business days. How long can it take to fill in a street name? That was all that was missing in one box.... needless to say it's a ridiculous RFE considering that the city and zip code were there and that the street address was on all other documents. We still have no idea how we both did not see that the street was missing. We read every document 4 times.

Thankfully, I had no issues when I called in (my husband never did, lol). I've heard of some operators refusing to help beneficiaries, even though they're supposed to headbonk.gif

I don't want to be harsh, but you really need to stop blaming NVC for taking so long when it was your mistake, not theirs. And when you look at the grand scheme of things, 2 weeks to review a package is pretty damn fast considering they get, I'm sure, thousands of packages per day.

And it's not just as simple as filling in one box in their system. Your package first has to traverse the building and get to a reviewing officer's desk. After reviewing your checklist, they then have to review your other documents before closing your case.

Yes, it was our mistake but honestly it's a miracle that not more mistakes happen during this mess and the dozens of pages that need to be submitted. It is also a miracle that they have not found a faster and more efficient way for remedying simple mistakes like the one we made (in Germany a similar mistake is simply fixed by a phone call - which incidentally would save thousands and thousands in tax dollars to the US government because I highly doubt we are the only ones who made a simple mistake like that). It's not like my husband's address isn't known to them from gazillions of other forms. But yes, our mistake.

Our DS-230 has already approved and all other documents were in order so in all honesty, it should be as simple as filling in the "missing" street. Not sure why we had to resubmit the entire AOS form. We did not, however, have to resubmit all the other documents along with it.
