They left out "NORTH" on my husband address There is two location with the same name but one is on the "north" side and the other is on the "south" side will this be an issued? I know it stated in the email if the address is incorrect call NVC and have them fix it. But my question is will it delay the process in any way? Can I just put the correct address in the I-864 where is asks for his address? I tried calling today but I guess due to the hurrican they are not working..... Thanks... I was about to make the payment but didn't know if this would cause a big issue.

When I received the letter you are talking about, my husband's address needed a correction as well (I mistyped one digit of his postal code on our I-130 :bonk: )

I immediately sent out an email to nvcinquiry@state.gov with the security information, a short explanation that the address needed to be corrected, and retyped the correct address for their records. About a week later I got a reply saying they had received the correct information and updated his file. It did not cause any noticeable delays in the processing of his case and I am much calmer now knowing that he has one less thing to worry about taking care of later.

Just FYI, hope it helps ;)

Thanks! :D

Technically, the address is wrong and should be corrected. You might want to call them up and mention this. I'm not sure if it would delay the process or not. It wouldn't be too detrimental IMO if you didn't tell them, as long as they have your email addresses on record as they don't mail anything, but email instead.

If you don't correct it with NVC, make sure it's corrected at the interview then. You don't want the visa being sent to the wrong address!

Thank so much! This my biggest concern, That I don't correct it now and later on the visa goes to someone else home... LOL...

But again can I still make the payment? Or just to be on the safe side get a hold of them and get that fix before anything?

Paying a bill now or later won't make a difference as the problem is just an address. So, send the email and pay the bill.

My IV bill just showing as paid

I am worried about sending out the Fedex right now with the hurricane and all in case it gets stuck or lost somewhere. what you think? I should wait few days till things clear up? Bcoz these documents would take forever to gather again. At the same time I dont want to be stuck further back in queue....

Oh one last question!

The 2 pics that are sent in with DS230: Do they have to be stapled on the form on page 1 in that blank spot? Or can you just send them in small plastic bag? whats the deal? thanks

Thanks so much....

I was considering of emailing them... But figured it would take about a week before I would get a reply back from them, and I'm stuck on if I should or shouldn't pay the AOS without fixing this.....And now cause of this hurrican Lord know when I would get a reply back.... :crying:

Wonderful, does anyone know anything about the NVC being closed due to the hurricane and when it is supposed to reopen?

I am waiting for our case closed and now this. First an RFE because of something really really stupid and unnecessary, now this. I feel like I am never going to see my husband again. I am going to lose my business over this and I can't eat, can't sleep.... my life is horrible without my husband now. At this point I just feel like jumping in front of a train.

Sorry for your situation, But it as not been confirmed that NVC is closed due to the hurricane, But it can be a BIG possibliitly it's because of that, I say give it until the middle of the week, and see if they open by then... Good Luck

I vote for correcting it at the interview at the IV Unit inside of the Embassy.

Why? no one is getting postal stuff till after the interview.

That appointment letter goes out via email.

Why else would it be closed? And any day that is delayed the situation gets worse. They will get more and more backlog, nothing is moving as it is. The RFE has been there for 13 days already and NOTHING. I cannot do this anymore.

Hang in there cjjj, I always noticed when it looks bleak, something great happens, the storm hasn't really hit NH so I don't know why they closed, I live about 200 miles from the coast and they have closed schools here  Tomorrow they should be opened again

fwiw, the NVC # starts with 202 - and I swear that's a Washington DC area code.

That's why I don't know whether they are closed either. It really seems like they constantly spit in our faces. No one there cares about our stories, our pain. It's just not right to keep people separated like this with no idea when they can be reunited. All I do is cry. It's not a life at all anymore.
