OK husband got email or txt from the embassy in Jamaica saying they need the actual W-2 from employer for cosponser. So they can see how much she made. I did send in tax return that shows that, do we still need it since I sent in the tax return? She is going to see if she can find it tomorrow hopefully she'll find it for him. Somebody can give advice? Cuz guys I'm freaking out now. I don't want anything to go wrong. Interview is basically a week away........

I also sent in employment letter from her job.

What tax info you sent for yourself and joint sponsor? Tax transcripts? Or your actual Tax returns? Anyways sounds like embassy already looked over your file and are needing that info so get it to them. Its nice of them to ask beforehand rather than at interview.

Yes thank you.... Actually yesterday all most of my day at work I spend correcting some little errors I found on the I-864. I had hubby sign just pt 1 of the DS230 and I filled the rest of pt one by hand... As there was some information I didn't have at the time to type it in. But other then that I think I'm ok....

Actually I do have on more question regarding the education portion on the DS230 is this mandatory? This highest level of education is high school? Would this be a problem?

Yes, all questions are mandatory on the form. If it was optional, they would have listed it as optional. All you have to do is list the names of schools, starting with high school then going to college/university (if applicable).

in other news.....got a false checklist today!!! :) Iv packet has been reviewed, now they need to review my AOS...caseclosed soon i hope...

Nice, grats! kicking.gif

So I checked later in the day at payment portal and shows AOS paid. I sent off the packet. Hope the IV bill gets invoice soon :D

Yay! Now you can safely send off the AOS package good.gif

If the embassy is asking for a specific document, you better get it. There's usually no discussing things with an embassy. If you don't have it, they'll just put you into AP until you give it to them.

And if only the tax return was sent in, then yes, you need to have a W2 with it.

Tax information proof goes as follows:

-tax transcripts

OR

-tax return (including ALL schedules)

AND

-W2s

Ok so let me tell you a funny story except its NOT.

I sent out DS3032 form monday so this morning I see they send a reply so I get very excited thinking they accept it. Well the email was from a rep saying that there was a security issue with the email and all the info was not correct so they cannot communicate about the case. So I was like ####### and I checked everything again and send it off one more time. 5 mins later another reply "the birth date of the petitioner is incorrect according to their records "

So I was like how is it possible. So I read it again and thats when I realize for my DOB i put the year as 2012 :bonk: :bonk: :bonk:

So I probably would have gotten my IV bill invoiced today but now have to wait longer. And its such a foolish mistake. I checked that form like 25 times and not see that........ another lesson learned the hard way :(

next time check 26 times

or hire a teenager to check all.

I'm a fan of hiring teenagers. They have sharp eyes, and are relatively cheap, all things considering.

Ooooh Noooo! I had my mom, dad, 16 year old niece, and husband check the packages just for something like this. It could've been worse (somehow) so dont stress yourself out about it. At least you fixed it now. I was thinking the other day what if I have a "duh" moment at my interview when they ask me something like whats my date of birth  Hopefully they'll take into consideration that your nervous. What you think?

Ive been meaning to ask.. Is the "false checklist" email saying theyve received documents we've sent in (this can only be the AOS package as the IV fee and package have only been done very recnetly) asking for the IV fee to be paid indication enough that NVC have processed the AOS pack and have considered it all good? Or should I still call them to confirm?

Thanx all :D
