No, I had a motorbike accident in 2008. What is left in there right now is a screw in my knee, rod/screws in my femur, plate/screws in my elbow.

I know in Australia, we have state healthcare so there were some restrictions for my wife when she came here.

I think my issues shouldn't be a problem though, wouldn't they only be looking for people who are 'sick' rather than 'disabled'?

ohhh ok. well I cannnot speak from personal experience but I dont see that being an issue at all since its all medically necessary. hopefully someone who knows more will answer you soon.

I have tried and still no hope. I might call NVC to check again on Monday

I have the same problem with RyS (post #14) in this thread : http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/311520-online-payment-of-ds-230-problem/

And his experience is just to wait for fixing itself :( (on Page 2)

yea just wait it will fix itself. doing nothing is probably the best thing you can do at this point. But yea a quick call monday should put your mind at ease

Husband starts Monday of a do over of collecting all the dang IV BILL packet. NVC Immigration you should be liable that you are having people put most vital proprietary information in mail whether it be postal or otherwise should not matter. You put our own cases in diplomatic pouches but you expect us the regular CITIZEN to do this.cray5ol.gifNewsflash! its 2012 why the HELL isn't EVERY country Electronic Processing. You would cut down a lot of unnecessary cost that you don't get. I swear I am sitting here shaking my head.protest6wz.gifprotest6wz.gifranting33va.gifranting33va.gifJust sad in a way but yet happy for the delay weird huh. Iwell for my AOS makes my new job look better and better in 3 months I have surpassed the poverty guideline woooo whooo) dancin5hr.gif

Although NVC is behind on the times, they are rolling out the EP process to a few additional countries every single year. You just need to give them time to get to all 200+ countries...

I have my medical on Tuesday. I have my passport, photos, immunisation records etc..

Does anyone know what the purpose of the X-Rays is? I have a lot of metal in my body so I am not sure if they care about that.

The purpose of the X-ray is just to give to your new doctor in the US. That's it.

I don't know for sure, but I imagine they want to find out if the beneficiary has any serious illnesses.

When I went to my medical, they only x-rayed my chest.

They're looking for serious communicable diseases, primarily pulmonary tuberculosis (TB).

Why? What happened?

the IV BILL is something you pay

but the IV packet can be done by you or him, with the DS-230 PART I having his original signature .

Seriously - what happened?

I mean all the things you send to NVC he collected and send=t postal (yes I know I know he is a noodle head and thought he could save money and well Nigeria is well..... u know)

1. He has an extra police report so thats covered.

2. Birth Certificate took 10 days the first time to get

3. Marriage certificate took the same 10 days

4. need passport pics

5. Biographical pages

6. and of course DS-230

I am still hoping the original packet gets here (my birthday cards, letters and poems is in that pouch dang it) he can than use the redo stuff at interview.

So yep thats my story more delays. So much for December interview.

quick question on form DS 230.

For the questions about deceased parents is it ok to leave it blank? It says leave no question blank but the question itself says IF deceased then write date. So what to do?

If parents are NOT deceased, write N/A in that box.

Hey guys and gals. Hope everyone had a good weekend. So I just made one of my make-a-cuppa-coffee-clean-the-house-wash-the-dog-while-youre-on-hold NVC calls and they say they still havent processed my AOS Package. It was delivered to them October 11th. Should it have been processed by now? How long do they usually take to review the pack after it hits the building? We're just waiting on "paid" for the IV fee and then will be posting the IV packet too. Just kinda want to get an idea of how much longer this NVC stage will take before finalised.

Thank you :)

Definitely feel you ladies on this one. It was so funny, he got into this "why are you mothering me" vibe with me so I stopped reminding him about things and guess what, NOTHING got done, he even forgot to wish his mom for her bday,so he said "ok babe can we go back to the mothering please" lol
