NVC Filers - October 2012

Have any of you experienced a longer than usual turn around with the acceptance of the DS3032 email? I emailed NVC on the 4th of October and now 2 days short of 2 weeks I still havent had any acceptance/rejection. Hubby posted the AOS package so thats done and dusted and we already have everything ready (checked and double checked) for the IV package, just waiting for the invoice to be issued and subsequent fee payment. Ugh.. tick tock tick tock... I'd really like to get case completed before the end of this month with the hopes of an early Dec interview (the Johannesburg embassy have already told me they arent busy). Would love to be with my husband and step-daughter for Christmas. What do you think the chances are?

Am glad they got my case but not understanding why it will take so long to get case number assigned....

Please take a week and read all at the September 2012 NVC thread, over at http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/386421-nvc-filers-september-2012/

It'll help pass the time, and you'll notice trends, and process (which IMO, will be useful for you)

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !

If you sent it on the 4th, it's only been 7 business days. It can take up to 2 BUSINESS weeks. You just need to be patient. The response will come yes.gif

And it's still possible to get a case complete by the end of the month, as long as you send the IV package as soon as the IV bill appears as PAID.

HI EVERYone,.. NVC received my ds230 form last oct.1 and until now i haven't received any progress from them. Should i call them even if i am the beneficiary?

Unless you're part of the EP program, you do not get any correspondence from NVC about them receiving packages or reviewing them. You need to call NVC to find out.

And it doesn't matter that you're the beneficiary, you can still call. For our case, I (the beneficiary) was the only one that called. If an operator gives you problems (it does happen), then just hang up and call again.

Ok thanks Saylin. One "good" thing about this whole process is it forces one to learn patience

Is 66 pages a lot? You should see the October 2010 thread. It's nearly 500 pages long. Ended up being locked!

You can see the length of the monthly NVC threads here (up until March 2012): http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/354975-nvc-filers-march-2012/page__st__2955__p__5244371#entry5244371 (Yes, I was bored one day).

OMG I finish reading those 66 pages patiently and then I decide to call NVC to see if they issue case number and YES THEY DID

Got case number and IIN :wow:

So I gave over email address for myself and my wife. He told me I cant pay any fees yet because they havent finished processing the file

What else I have to do now???

Should I send the DS 3032? Or wait a day or 2? I have it filled out and ready to email...

I am getting a good feeling
