Thanks :D I must say, the NVC folks have had me depressed with thinking it would be December.

@Amzz - your timeline says IV received. Did the NVC tell you this or is this just based on the postal tracking? We sent our paperwork more than a week ago and the NVC keeps saying they havent received it but UPS emailed me that it was received days ago.

One of the requirements for getting a job at NVC is to hold a certificate in "Depression & Anxiety Producer" :P . You didn't know that?

I hope I'm not offending anyone; it is just a joke. I'm so far pleased with NVC even though it is a long process for everybody. And longer for some.

cjjj,

it was sent overnight and it got to their door for sure (like you, I checked the tracking number) - this is why I wrote "NVC received". They will probably not look at it for next few days (review/accept) but I know it is there, and I'm waiting patiently.

I may call them later to check but I don't see a point in doing that. They will tell me the same thing: "bla bla 20 days bla bla".

Okay, I was just making sure I didn't miss any notification I should have gotten from them. Every time they tell me "we haven't received..." I get more panicky.

They probably did receive it (as UPS told you) but the operator doesn't see it on the screen because nobody has started working on the packet yet = it isn't in their system. This is how I see it.

I just checked Poland's list for October interviews and it doesn't seem like a long one.

On the list, there were just a few of the IR1/CR1. A lot of them were also the F visas (their case # had 1991 date on it!!!!)-now that is a LONG wait.

Just got an NVC email and thought, it the interview info - it was just the case complete email (that's a pretty good gap between actual case complete and notification).

Yep, I got one too.. and didn't contact them via email at any stage..

I saw an email from the NVC and my mind was going INTERVIEWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW DATEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE..

..but no.

05/SEP/2012 : DS-3032 accepted.

10/SEP/2012 : AOS and IV packets mailed via UPS.

12/SEP/2012 : NVC received AOS and IV packets via UPS.

Is there such a list for Germany too? I assume the real lists are much longer though as only a fraction of people are on VJ.

It isn't a list of people from VJ. It is a list of all the interviews scheduled for a certain month, and it can be accessed through a US embassy website in a particular country. This one is from the US embassy in Poland: http://photos.state.gov/libraries/poland/275705/cons_iv/IV%20Appt%20Oct%202012.pdf

You can see all the case numbers on the left, and the details about the interview (when and what time). I went to the US embassy website in Germany but I couldn't find a similar link. Maybe you will have more luck. Type in "immigrant visa" and look there (or something like "visa appointment schedule"). Now I'm wondering if websites in all countries provide this information.

Please don't do anything like that. If you need someone to talk, come find me on Skype (I can only use the chat function though). If you are interested I can send you my info privately.
