I am quite nervous about this. Any possible advice would be much appreciated.

Welcome to the forum.

:guides: They can be accessed by hitting the "Guides" button, at the top of the forum page. There you will find K-1 flow chart, and a step-by-step K-1 visa guide. Since you didn't mention, I am assuming that you will be submitting a K-1 visa petition.

Good luck on your visa journey.

Your request for the K-1 will go to to the Dallas TX Address. From there is it will be assigned to a Service Center providing the 129-F is completed properly. Don't worry about that in most cases. Then, Forwarded to The National Visa Center where your Case will go furthur Documentation and background checks to verify it's content.

If the 129-F paperwork is completed properly and executed you will recieve a NOA1 or Notice of Action 1....

That will be sent to the Petitioner ONLY or a Lawyer FIRST if you have one. They will not instruct the Beneficiary of anything.

After the NOA1 the wait begins. 4 to 7 months maybe. DO SEND YOUR FIANCEE A COPY of ANY AND ALL DOCUMENTS Recieved.

Next, if all goes Right. A NOA2. Notice of Action. This means: Approved Petition awaiting an outcome of a Interview at a later scheduled date.

Thats the basics to your question. Bear in mind. they will not tell your Finance/Fiancee much at all. You must do that.

Good Luck...
