Can someone please help me! Someone told me a k3 visa is shorter and you can bring your spouse here a little bit faster. Now I am at Vermont service center, are they processing k3 applications faster then i130s? On the processing table it says last k3 was processed oct 2011?!

K3 is obsulete. If you apply for it and your I130 gets approved they will move forward with the I130. It is better to wait a few weeks longer and do I130 in my opinion. It will be less money spent in the end also!

The others are correct- the K3 used to be quicker, years ago, when the CR-1 too several years. This is no longer the case.

Me: Irish/ Swiss citizen, and now naturalised US citizen. Husband: USC; twin babies born Feb 08 in Ireland and a daughter in Feb 2010 in Arkansas who are all joint Irish/ USC. Did DCF (IR1) in 6 weeks via the Dublin, Ireland embassy and now living in Arkansas.

That's what I thought. Especially with vermont being so damn slow I wouldn't have expected it any faster. I know I shouldn't be complaining my case is just almost at 4 months and there are People who have been waiting longer, but its so hard being so far away from the husband :(
