Pfeww after reading all the above posts i feel there are lot of pending cases with the USCIS hence the delay in our application too maybe... Our case is also pending since around 60 days now. 221g docs submitted 20th Dec.

The same old message at - https://ceac.state.gov/CEACStatTracker/Status.aspx?eQs=o/iS8zDpeAKjMWCuebHqOw==

Administrative Processing!!!

We don't mind the wait but this statement really freaked us out on that site...

In addition, please note that some immigrant visas may not be able to be issued if the annual numerical limit for that category has been reached.

I was pretty sure this is something they cant reject if all docs submitted are genuine and good as the spouse if of a US citizen.. !! But I don't know what to think now.. Mind's blank...

Hi all,

I had my CR-1 Interview in Mumbai on November 8, and was handed a 221(g) paper on which the following were checked off:

1. We are carrying out an admin procedure. we will contact you when we are done.

2. Spouse must prove domicile in US

I have been checking case status on https://ceac.state.gov/CEACStatTracker/Status.aspx?eQs=o/iS8zDpeAKjMWCuebHqOw== and as of Feb 1, it still says "visa case is currently undergoing necessary administrative processing".

It's been over 90 days, so is there someone I can contact for more information?

Also are items 1 and 2 interlinked? I'm still gathering documentation to prove my wife's US domicile, however not sure if the admin processing is mutually exclusive from item 2.

Thanks for shedding light on this for me.you

should get involved ur senator in this case before its get to late,...cuz ur case already pass 60 days

What are some of the reasons why people are getting 221G? I noticed that 'proof of on-going relationship' was one reason that came up 2-3 times but what are the other reasons one may get 221G?

Hi--just an update on the above situation I posted earlier. I submitted documents regarding my spouse's US domicile at the OFC. I got the documents back from the consulate by mail a week later without any message. Does any mean the evidence is accepted? Not sure how to interpret this. Please advise.

Hey guys ..im bummed outttt sad.png

My husband had his interview on june 6th, and he got a white letter section 221g-administrative processing sad.png What i was really surprised about was that they gave him his passport back. The officer did not notify him of any missing documents or if they needed additional info. The letter doesn't say what the required documents are. It just says it's incomplete and we will contact you in a couple of weeks. The officer told my hubby not to worry and that they will get back to him in few weeks. This is at the Mumbai consulate. does anyone else have any experience with this?! I have no idea why its under processing sad.png So I guess they gave an AP for no reason? I just want to know the reason, and if we need to submit any documents- I want to start on that now, but they did not give us any reason whatsoever. I am sure all the documents we had submitted were sufficient and up-to-date, so I'm not sure why it's under processing. Does anyone know the time frame, how long it takes for this to clear? I called DOS and he said if the officer didn't tell him of any missing documents, then we'll just have to wait for them to contact us.. but the wait is so agonizing :(
