The part of Michigan that I'm from (Southeast, about 20 mins from downtown Detroit) doesn't seem Midwesterny at all. Western Michigan (cities like Kalamazoo) def. seems Midwestern.

That is so funny I never knew that there was a real place named Kalamazoo!!! I thought it was just a funny name someone thought up.

Same thing with Egypt I think...isn't there like a real timbucktoo or something there? I'll have to look it up now.

LOL..Timbuktu is in Mali. Yes, Kalamazoo is a real city..it's really nice actually. Nice little college town.
