Is it geographical location that decides where your petition goes?

I know people from Michigan that it's gone to CSC and people from Oklahoma that has gone to VSC.

It doesn't seem to have rhyme or reason but I was wondering if people know what decided what service center you got directed to?

Thanks in advance.

Well it does usually depend on what state the USC lives in but sometimes the Service Centers can send petitions to one of the other Centers to ease their workload.

that would be nice if VSC sent some applications to CSC to ease the workload so the wait time isn't twice as long as California.

im just hoping the wait doesnt hit 9 months for NOA2 @ VSC before they start doing something about it. its usually dependent on the state in which the USC lives

Well I will keep my fingers crossed for California and I will keep every single one of you that are stuck in the VSC in my prayers.

May we all be with our loved ones sooner than later.

I sent my stuff and I looked on USPS and it said the Packet was delivered on 09/27/12 so now I'm just waiting for the NOA1, how long does that usually take after the Texas lockbox has received it?

Normally you'll get your NOA1 within a week of them receiving your petition and logging it into their system for example, our petition was sent 8th March, received on the 12th, touched and logged on 15th and NOA1 received 20th March.

I got the email and text a couple days ago......

It got routed to the California Service Center so perhaps there is still a chance to be back there to get her in the beginning of March like we were hoping.

Now I'm just waiting for the hardcopy of the NOA1. Thank you all for your help.
