Hi everyone. I just wanted to say thank you to all of you who answered my many many questions as I prepared to make this journey to meet my fiance for the first time. I have been here since September 20 and will stay until October 26. It is even more wonderful than I could have imagined. But the flight was another story. My first flight ever and I have a severe severe phobia of flying. So for almost 9 hours from Miami to Madrid I gripped the armrests because we had some turbulence and I was so sure I was about to die. I reached Madrid and got lost in the airport. I think everyone must have been having a bad day because people were not very friendly or helpful and I was terrified I would miss my connecting flight. But I made it and the flight to Casablanca was smooth and I realized I was a short time away from meeting my sweetheart.

I went through customs and got my bags and headed out front. There were a lot of people waiting and for just a minute I did not see him. Then I saw someone moving through the crowd waving his arm. And there he was standing there with the biggest most beautiful smile on his face. I started walking toward him and it felt like I was in slow motion like moving through a dream. Then I had my arms around him and it felt like I had finally come home.

I love Morocco. I love this wonderful family I am staying with. And I love my fiance so much. Our journey is just beginning and I am so grateful to have this group to come to with questions. But for now I am going to enjoy this special time with the love of my life. Thank you all again!

Although I had met my husband first while traveling in Morocco - when I went back to visit him 4 months later (knowing the trip would make a summer romance something much more serious) and I was so excited, it felt like our first meeting :)

But reading your update took me back....First to being totally terrified of on a plane crash (I am sooo afraid of flying too :yes:) and then to that moment getting off the plane and there He is (L) Sigh!....Your update gave me such warm flashbacks of that day for me :wub: I know I don't know you, but love is such a wonderful thing, its hard not to feel happy for anyone who is so lucky to have found it. Have a wonderful wonderful time!! :D

Glad to hear you made it through that chaos. Made me think of my first trip there. Enjoy your time with your fiance and his family because the time sure does fly.
