If you want to be recognized for you body then why did you become offened when those nice gentlement pointed out that they appreciated your body in the street?

If someone thinks to themself that they like something about my appearance, fine. I just don't want to know. That kind of thing, announcing it loudly, makes you feel like an object. It's totally different to verbalize the thought. I really don't care what they think, but if they assume it's ok to talk about me like I'm not there, it's another story.

Men do this because we allow it. We put ourselves in the position to be taken advantage of.

I'm not excusing men for their actions... they should still be punished BUT I think it's partly the woman's fault too. She shouldn't have been in that position to begin with. FYI... dating is against my beliefs.... this could be a good reason why.

1. If a guy is drunk and unknowingly has sex with a female, it's his fault and rape. He is responsible for his actions... drunk or not.

2. If a girl gets drunk and has sex with a sober guy, he is 'taking advantage' of her. Apparently she is not responsible when drunk.

absolutely it's a double standard... in the western woman's quest for equality we've somehow stepped away from responsibility. This is why I don't care much for "feminists" because it seems to me it's not really so much "equality" that they're looking for but "special rules" because they're female.

Remember the Tyson case a while ago? That woman was in his hotel room dressed like a tramp... we all know what she was there for... whether she changed her mind or not is unclear but after the fact she cries rape and automatically she's blameless.

There is not a man or woman on this board who can NOT admit (being 100% honest) that women have an advantage over men in the seduction department. There have been many good men brought down because of one (not so) good woman. I have seen this and been personally involved in it in my past and know for a fact that there's little a man won't do for the 'right' woman.

Ok, so you're implying that wearing a tight T-shirt requires a conscious effort and the sole purpose is to get attention from men. Wouldn't a woman then also have to make a conscious effort to wear a baggy T-shirt in aroder to avoid attention from men? Em, that's not quite what I was saying. First of all, the t-shirt wasn't tight or provocative in any way. In fact, it was rather conservative for the heat we had yesterday. If men are attracted to me at a particular moment, fine. There's only one man I actively *want* to be attracted to me. I have worked with, studied with, and carried on many conversations with men I found attractive without thinking only about the fact that they were attractive. I am capable of seeing someone as a whole human being. Men can do the same.

If men are weak, why is it our fault?

Men are predators by nature and marriage does not eliminate that natural instinct (that's where maturity comes into play). Just think of a caged lion... they adapted to being caged but the natural instinct is still to hunt and men are no different. People direct the blame at women but it is the man's responsibility to control himself despite the conflict they have with their friend edging them on (if you get my drift... LOL!!!). Ask any married man (and I have), most married men still look at (check out) attractive women in a more than an admiring fashion. We are all ultimately responsible for our own actions and blaming others is a cop-out despite of how some women use their sexuality to tempt men.
