I agree far better for him to visit you in the PI than any other option, save you ink on the extra paperwork you'll never get one based on simple fear like that.

hey guys!!um well maybe we can have another option that is to expedite the processing of my fiance visa...since we have been so worried about the baby's safety here..hubby saw the news about baby kidnappings here in the Philippines and he will try to contact nvc if we can have expedited processing because of this reason...

that is not reason for expedite. there are thousands of people who live in war torn countries who do not get expedite. You need to just sit tight and wait it out.

Consular Report of Birth Abroad (FS-240)

http://travel.state.gov/law/family_issues/birth/birth_593.html

Acquisition of U.S. Citizenship by a Child Born Abroad

A child born abroad to one U.S. citizen parent and one alien parent acquires U.S. citizenship at birth under Section 301(g) of the INA provided the U.S. citizen parent was physically present in the United States or one of its outlying possessions for the time period required by the law applicable at the time of the child's birth. (For birth on or after November 14, 1986, a period of five years physical presence, two after the age of fourteen, is required.

http://travel.state.gov/law/citizenship/citizenship_5199.html

The N-600 is a different then ‘Consular Report of Birth Abroad’ Children who acquire citizenship under this new provision do not acquire citizenship automatically. They must apply to the Bureau of Citizenship and Immigration Services for a Certificate of Citizenship by completing form N-600K and remitting the necessary filing fee.

Section 322: Children Born and Residing Outside of the United States; Conditions for Acquiring Certificate of Citizenship

Another section of the Child Citizenship Act provides that children (biological or adopted) of U.S. citizens who are born and reside abroad, and who do not become U.S. citizens at birth can apply to the Bureau of Citizenship and Immigration Services for a Certificate of Citizenship if the following conditions are met.

At least one parent of the child is a U.S. citizen by birth or naturalization;

The U.S. citizen parent has been physically present in the United States for a total of at least five years, at least two of which are after the age of 14. If the child's U.S. citizen parent cannot meet the physical presence requirement, one of the child's U.S. citizen grandparents can meet it.

The child is under the age of eighteen;.

The child lives abroad in the legal and physical custody of the U.S. citizen parent and has been lawfully admitted into the United States as a nonimmigrant.

If the child is an orphan, the adoption must be finalized.

Yes, N-600 is one form of acquiring citizenship, but does not pertain to the OP’s comment or method acquiring citizenship for their child. ^^^^^^^

Can you give us a detailed overview of the CRBA interview, documentation submitted for the above underlined in bold. This can help couples who have children born out of wedlock successfully navigate the CRBA at USEM.

Go get your child her PI Passport.

If your child is in the PI with only CRBA/US passport, you need to make sure you get your child his/her PI passport if you do not your looking at costly fees from the BI (Philippine Bureau of Immigration) exit permit and or late fees, when the child exits the Philippines. One plus is with both US and PI passport your child will have Dual Citizenship, with out hassle of paper work/fees down the road.

hi..yes i will gladly help those who wants to do crba too...first they must go to this website http://manila.usembassy.gov/service/citizenship/first-time-report-of-birth-abroad7.html.. read everything there and study carefully all the things they need to do.what we did is we scheduled an online appointment on this website, but before doing that i spent 3 weeks of gathering all the necessary documents and paperwork needed which is listed on this website also.....NOTE:: all the documents that you have as proof of your relationship..say chat messages on yahoo..i brought 3 thick folders with me..hard copy..lol..our pics since the first time of being together,i brought like 12 pics,,from the day i pick him up from the airport up until i gave birth at the hospital(i mean pictures when u were pregnant),my prenatal records,my ultrasound results,i bring 2..my fiance's proof of citizenship..like photocopy of passport..all pages, photocopy of birth certificate, high school and college records,w2's..ITR's...first u go to a window and a pinay checks your documentations...ask you some basic questions..like how did u meet???how long have u been together..is this your first baby...then when your documents are good to go..they aake u wait for your number to be called..u can see the numbers on Que..at the electronic screen, i was so nervous while we wait since people ahead of us,they spent like 30 mins-45 mins inside and ended up being denied..some were required for dna testing!!im glad we they did not require us,,interview took 15 minutes and we were approved, thank God!next stop is the interview in the room with the American consul...you should be consistent with your answers,,look him straight in the eyes so he will know you hide nothing..first he checks documents,, verifying data on computer,,ask my fiance questions like..where were u on year 99..what are u doing..so u visited her how many times?and u sent her money way back before u 2 meet each other?then turned to me and ask me questions too..when was this pic taken??where was the first actual meeting took place..how did u pick him up at the airport...my tip is be consistent..sometimes what the first lady asked,he askes it again...to make sure u have the same answer...good luck guys..

http://manila.usembassy.gov/service/citizenship/first-time-report-of-birth-abroad7.html..this is the website...to go for crba..its informative and complete..please take time to read..
