hi guys!my name is kate and i live in Cavite, Philippines..my loving fiance is in the state of New Jersey..and I'm so happy I come across with VJ,it helped a lot and widen our knowledge on the visa process,,timelines,etc!!We just started ours and I keep the faith the..somehow we get approved before 2012 ends! We have a four month old baby girl and she is a US citizen..We are just waiting for the approval of my visa so we can be together..if we cant be approved before Christmas,my fiance wants us to go there and he is asking if I can apply for a tourist visa while we have a pending fiance visa..its quiet hard to be separated especially if you have a baby....but I know God is good and he has great plans for us all..looking forward to meet new friends and any help from you guys will be highly appreciated!! have a great day!! and Good luck to our journey!

getting a visitor visa with a pending k-1 is slim. You have immigrant intent therefore they won't want to grant it. You just applied for the petition, you will not have your k-1 before Christmas.

yeaaaa I know that right too and one more thing she must have to convince the consul that she would return to her home country then but for sure she will got denied guys, so its just better for her to wait till she got their approvals

Thank u guys for enlightening me!!!he hopes to visit us for 2 weeks but he is afraid to leave US because he thinks..what if uscis needs some additional info..so we might better stay put and wait for the inevitable..yes you're right..our daughter got her citizenship her in manila...we reported her birth before he went back...so we need tons and tons of patience then!!!hehehe...thank u for the very useful info...

Please don't waste your time and money applying for a tourist visa because it would be a snowy day in Manila before you ever got one.

I do understand how your husband feels, (been in his shoes) your request to expedite will never happen because your SO “saw the news about baby kidnappings here in the Philippines.” Spend your time and energy and focus on the petition.

Welcome to Visa Journey Its really up to you to apply for a Tourist Visa but the onus will be on you to prove to the POE officials that you have no intention to stay in the US longer than allowed during your visit. Good luck with that... So, I suggest that your hubby visit you and baby instead. You are VSC filers, so there is still lots of time before you reach NOA2 stage. The journey can feel much longer as time drags on so be sure to keep yourself busy with meaningful activities to take your mind off the wait. Best wishes on the rest of your journey
