Just wondering, after reading alot of peoples successful interviews. Ive printed out possible interview questions so I can kinda get myself somewhat better prepared of what's eventually to come. I notice alot of people say "The interviewer went thru the normal yes/no I-485 questions". What exactly are these I-485 questions? Examples?

Ahh ok Thanks.. we're trying to setup our meeting with our lawyer next Friday, he's actually the one filling in the paperwork for us so I haven't yet seen the I-485 sheet. We started filling our paperwork out with him already but haven't had any of those questions come up yet for him to fill in for us. lol I just want to make sure we're prepared for evertiny detail.

Have you read the forms? You might want to download them and read them over. Some of the questions might require a bit of thought, so your visit with the attorney might go smoother and quicker if you already know what he's going to ask you.

I'm not overly concerned about these yes/no questions, as my husband is pretty easy going and basically a sweetheart.  However there are two question that pertain to him:
1. Police Unit
2. Weapons training
He can answer and did answer yest to both on the I-485.  All Russian men, are required to serve and he was trained as a military police officer.  Could that be a potential problem?  It's not like he wanted this for his life, it even interrupted his education.  Basically, in my point of view, it's the same as if we had a draft here in the states and some of our people had to serve because of war.

I served in the Israeli army and attached a letter stating the dates of my service and explaining that was compulsory service

From other people I've heard that is not a problem as long as you were not part of weapon trading / undercover warfare in a western country

Thank you!  That's a very good suggestion.
