Hahaha! When I'm on the phone with my fiance we always pretend that the roosters are chiming in on our conversation. Sometimes we'll translate their "UR-AR UR-AAAAAAH" into English and put words into their mouths.....err.... I mean beaks.

I hear you. Michelle's family's neighborhood is rooster heavy too. Including one that lived just outside of the window to my room. I grew up in rural Virginia, it's not a sound that's new to me...but one ten feet away outside of an open window really can't be ignored. I did find it kind of amusing how one would crow, and the rest of them in the vicinity would follow like a wave.

Well, I'll take a Rooster any day. I have a mosque next to my house, which is cool until the call for morning prayers at 6AM or so and this is on an external loud speaker.

The roosters never bothered me. As a matter of fact we have roosters and hens here in the states. We love the rural life. The goats are more annoying than the roosters here. Two out of the five goats are gone now. Our Filipino friends came over and butchered one in the back yard last week and another one last night. I usually just drink and watch and joke with them. We keep chickens for eggs and when they get too old to lay, our friends come over and butcher them.

We're going to try to get some pigs next spring. Mmmmmm Lechon Baboy!

I grew up on a farm in Nebraska but something about the roosters in Talsiay (my wife is from Litmon Dumlog) really woke me up. Extra loud and think they were just trying to wake me up in particular.

Yep you guys are right.Thats all you hear in the AM in Cebu, Roosters crowing while we trying to Talk. Glad shes now here and we still hear Roosters in some places.
