Honestly, this is the reason I don't go on july filers thread. It hurts, especially when csc filers say how long the wait is when its 2 months. But hey after a month when they've all been approved, vsc july filers can inhabit that thread. We can ###### at how not a single july petition has been approved or that we're likely to join the 200+ club if something doesn't change.

Possible good note is that i realised there a fewer petitions for april/may/june/july compared to say feb on igors list. I hope this is reflective of the actual amount of petitions

i don't think anyone honestly means that people shouldn't be happy and celebrate. in my opinion it really comes down to the word choices of some of the posters. it isn't entirely unreasonable to celebrate without posting how many days you waited, whether it be long or short. if you get approved very quickly, it's a bit insensitive to the rest of those in your community to post exclaiming how long the wait was in spite of it the fact it was a fast approval.

personally i don't think it would be a bad idea to ban approval threads altogether. they happen to clog up the forum and are fairly useless. i believe it's a post that should be made within your filing month thread as opposed to its own thread.

Its fair to feel hurt, mad at USCIS and even jelous! Is normal we re ll human beings with feelings want it to be with our love one. Now, Im about to get my green card but I was a k1 visa holder a year ago and I know how it feels watch people here being approved faster than you. Its frustrating! But that didn't give me the right to bashed on other's happiness and approvals! If people here CANT help and manage their frustration over other's good moments, they shouldn't be here. This website is about to support and help everyone who is dealing with an immigration process in the bad and good times. I posted here when I got my NOA2, when I got my visa, when i got married and I will continued posting my successes cause I owe it to my vj fellows!

What a bunch of haters. My husband waited a long time, and then was put into AP for 10 weeks. That didn't stop me from congratulating others. It isn't under our control how fast things get approved or not. I sat here and watched while hundreds of others were approved while we were in limbo, but that isn't a reason to rain on anyone's parade. How would you feel if it were you and everyone jumped all over you for being happy? Unreal how people here react, I feel like I'm in high school. If you can't say something nice...you know how the rest goes!! wow.gif

Indeed! On the flip side, even though I don't care for said posts, I don't want to begrudge them and their excitement. It's a horrid process and I don't want to quash anyones happiness when they get it by having them tip toe around others feelings. Perhaps it should practice to have separate file month categories? like july-vsc filers/july-csc filers.

This is not a kindergarden where kids cant manage their emotions. We are all adults and is really sad that BAN all the approvals post, is consider an option cause people here cant handle other's VJ happiness. I know its frustrating, I went through the same thing, but it really gave me hope every time I read an approval.

What types of things would suggest that people post in the forum titled K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports?

evidently it is a place where emotions cannot be handled. all the people getting upset with the threads and all the people upset with the "haters."

i never said ban approval posts, i said banning approval threads could be an option. as in post up a storm about approvals, whether quick or slow, in your month's thread within the progress report forum. which is essentially what you called a fair option when another person somewhat agreed with my posts.

threads vs. posts. i actually believe it should all be monthly threads, with filers posting their progress within their month's thread.

for example...

a thread can be made for september filers, all september filers could post that they filed together and chat amongst each other.

there could be a thread for september approvals, as in everybody approved during september regardless of filing month, to celebrate and share their happiness with each other.

could even be a support thread for september rfes.

get where i am going with this?

The person who started the threat, joined the site yesterday and obviously this is his/her first post. And being honest IM REALLY ASHAME of some of the posts in here. This is not the Visa journey fellows I know. I always felt very proud of belonging in here and every time somebody ask me any question regarding immigration, always says "go to visajourney, best site and people ever" . But thanks to some of you, im having second thoughts about it. We dont know if maybe he is a soldier or a marine in duty! That may explain why he/she got their approval so fast. If that were the case, some people here should regretting their words. We dont know!! But either way, he/she deserve a better welcome than this!

i know where you going and sounds like a fair options for all of us. Bu t I keep thinking that we are all grown ups, is like if I get mad with someone who post her/his unhappiness cause thst person it's being waiting for 500 days. I read thousand of threats like that and people SUPPORTED them with blessing, good wishes, jokes and cheers up. NOONE complained about it. Then why if someone is very lucky to get her/his approval in 40 days why we cant be that supportive too? I support your idea, sounds fair, but some people needs to check themselves. Cause in real life there are people who always will luckier than you, in your personal life, your professional life etc etc and what are you going to do? Tell people not to be luckier, happier, skinnier, prettier, taller than you? Being in a bad spot of our journey of our life DOESNT give us the right to bash on other's people life and happiness....

all i can really say is it is an imperfect process altogether. and it involves a lot of emotions no matter how you look at it. we're dealing with issues tied to our loved ones and our futures together, it's simply impossible to separate emotions.

i hadn't read the whole thread before posting, but having read it now my opinions still stand. there are plenty of people on both sides with valid points and there are plenty with their heads up their bums. that's part of life.

i think we can all agree the whole process is a bit crazy? some people file and wait forever, others get approved quickly. some people initially met in person and have lived together for long periods of time before applying, while others meet on the internet and meet for a brief visit; but the applications are treated with equal scrutiny. and processing the latter could be smoother than the former.

all i am trying to reiterate here is that all of us are in the same boat, everybody needs to respect everybody regardless of emotions (which will be involved no matter what).

and nothing about any of this takes away from visajourney.com being the best site for those of us involved in this process.

I cant believe some of the post I'm reading here! Is really unfair! If somebody is approved after 300 days they DO have the right to post and celebrate ??? But if someone was approved in 40 days then he/she DOESN'T has the right to do it? EVERYBODY in here HAVE THE RIGHT TO CELEBRATE THEIR APPROVALS!!! That's why this site was created it for TO HELP and SUPPORT people in the bad times but also in the GOOD ones also! I know that the waiting is awful but that doesn't mean you should act like a bunch of haters, cause if one of u were approved in 40 days you weren't be that mad, uh? So after saying this, CONGRATULATIONS sweetheart hoping your journey will be this smooth and quick....

Stop!

I didn't tell anything about dividing approved people for long and short term of waiting teams. Everyone deserves happiness.

I should say, I always keep the most important words until it all goes wrong. So, my opinion is - plain woohooing about fast approvals doesn't help informationally. But kills with uncertainity-because it's really difficult to crystallize the real experience between lines of congratulations.

Site itself is helpful, it's the best place in the whole Internet and probably on Earth, but babbling doesn't help at all. and you may like it, or not, these posts look more like a bright cover on an empty book.

It doesn't matter if is someone trolling us or is a genuine approval. Bashing fast approval doesnt help either. I went the through k1 process including watching thousand of people being approved faster than me. It kills you for sure, but we should be supportive with everyone in here...from the people who are till waiting to those who had been approved in 2 days. And if peope here cant say something gentle with one of our members, cause their frustration dont let them. Its better not to say anything at all
