I agree with PGupta, except not sure about USC's not allowed to the consulate. I thought they did allow!!!!

I asked the same question to consulate and they responded as follows:

Hello Pawan,

Thank you for writing on our visa tab!

Your wife will have to complete her interview individually. You cannot accompany her during her interview. We have translators available in case they are needed.

Please write to support-india@ustraveldocs.com, visit www.ustraveldocs.com/in, or call (91-120) 660 2222, (91-22) 6720-9400 or 1-310-616-5424 (calls from the United States) for more information.

Visa Myths - Taken from Mumbai Consulate Website:

#VISAMYTH: A visa agent can help your chances for a visa. FACT: Officers decide your case based on your situation, not your use of agents.

#VISAMYTH: Thursday & Friday are lucky days to schedule. FACT: All days are good days to interview; visa eligibility not a matter of luck!

#VISAMYTH: Reapply until you get a “nice” officer. FACT: All visa officers highly trained & base visa decisions on U.S. Immigration Law.

Guys & Gals,

I just had my Medical at Panel Clinic in Hyderabad. They just took my blood and chest xray and told me they will call me in a day or two for vaccines and other procedure.

I was under the impression medical was completed in one day so i asked them why they cant do it in one day. They said they don't have a slot available right now. I don't mind ! Anyway, anyone else experience this ?

Also do i need to inform the US consulate in Mumbai that i am ready or just show up for Interview next month ?

Hi VJ S

I am back to Hyderabad from Mumbai.

The interview was very cooooooooolllllllllllll...................

No hassles. A very few questions.

No need to worry.

My suggestions are dn't go early in the morning. Take enough of time and be there at 6.30am.

Token doesnt paly any role in having once intervw early.

Take marriage photo album, if u guys went to any honey moon take those photos( because they have asked me!!!) , skype and phone logs. No need of skype screen shots( its a burden to carry them).

Just know when ur spouse has got citizenship year and when did they move to US for first time.

very simple and cool.

No need to worry.

all the very best guys for ur interviews!!!:thumbs:(F):D

Thanks Vj

I have updated my profile by calling the help desk.

Thank you.
