This is another fallacy. Israel is the 4th-best equipped military in the world; its neighbors have never had the means to threaten its existence. In fact, Israel has launched repeated attacks and invasions of its neighbors in order to gain territory, all the time whining about what a victim it is as cover. Some people continue to fall for it.

What if I invaded your home, murdered some of your family, announced that your property is now mine, and then made the claim that your anger or violent reaction has nothing to do with my crimes - but rather is because you hate me and want to annihilate me simply because of my religion; also that I'm the actual victim, and that I need more and more and more weapons to defend myself, as well as more of your property in order to make me feel safer because "you want to wipe me out." Most people would think that was nutty - even criminally insane. But some people continue to fall for Israel's supposed "victimhood."

I fall for it.. I also think cloudy days have a better chance of rain. There is a difference in falling for it and seeing the obvious. No amount of saying that those who don't agree with you are "falling for it" means you are right.. You are not.

I've seen the "logic" as you apply it, shouldn't be a shock that I doubt the sincerity or the reality as you like to present it. As it stands today Israel could wipe out all its neighbors.. They choose not to... No denying this, it is fact as you have just stated they are #4... If the reverse was true, they would all be dead. Why do I beleive that? Israel doesn't need nukes to continue to wipe out Palestine, or to continue to hold on to the territories it illegally occupies - it just needs conventional weapons and the support of the U.S. to protect it from international repercussions.

What is the source for your article's ridiculous claim that "one in four Palestinian men between the ages of 20 and 40 is paid to carry a gun" ?? Or that Palestine's economy is "based on the imminent prospect of violence" ??? And who is this supposed "reporter" (someone who styles himself as "Spengler") and why does he "publish" under a pseudonym ? In fact, a quick browse of his "articles" points to the answer that question.

No wonder you're so misinformed. Try seeking out reputable journalists and historians, instead of relying on the likes of Jihadwatch and Googling for hate material.

The reason Palestine is broke is because Israel took or destroyed most of their valuable resources (including hundreds of thousands of farms and businesses, expelled much of its population, and even steals their water) and controls everything that goes in or out - even down to the tax money that is collected on the sale of Palestinian products, which Israel withholds on a regular basis to use as leverage to extort concessions to its agenda.

BTW Israel is the recipient of a much higher amount of international welfare, and it's not even under occupation. What do you have to say about that ?

Goldman, a neocon Jewish harpsichordist and choral accompanist who is also an investment banker, a former chief economist for Lyndon LaRouche, and a devotee of Franz Rosenzweig (that's a whole 'nother story.)
