Another question: My Ontario driver's license expires this December, I just got the renewal form in the mail. Should I renew it? Or will I be able to easily obtain an Ohio driver's license once I am down there?

Hi Grace,

Its probably a good idea to get it renewed, Then worry about the Ohio license a little later. In a little while you will have your USA SSN and physical grean card which Ohio might require.

Every state has its own regulations when it comes to drivers licenses---some its a simple 1 ofr 1 exchange, others make you do a written test, some both a written and drivers exam. So check out Ohio's DMV--or do a search on VJ for Ohio drivers test and see what others experiences are... then throw in the confusion as your a k1,lol

Definitely renew it. There are all kinds of horrors waiting for you on this side.
