Confused about this RFE! Do we need to do another medical?

I am confused after reading this topic. I just sent my AOS documents to USCIS, and I only attached a copy of DS3025, as my medical exam and viccination just was done on July 30, 2012. As I know, these exam and viccination are still valid for AOS. So why we need to get CS to fill I 693? Is this the new policy in USCIS? Hope to get answer. Thanks in advance.

If all your shots were completed and recorded on the DS-3025 then you should be fine without an I-693 as long as it was properly filled out, signed, and dated. The person starting this thread didn't explain why she had to do an I-693. Perhaps she didn't do all the shots before her medical in London, so had to have additional ones signed off by a civil surgeon. And a lot of the replies are a little off track. I don't think you need to worry about this one.

Look at your form on the bottom right corner. The form date should be 10/11/11. It looks like this http://www.uscis.gov/files/form/i-693.pdf

Just trying to determine if the latest form i-693 version was used? What you described sounds like the old form.

We sent the latest form, so it's not that. It's something else what's wrong.. :)

I received the same RFE back when I applied for AOS and I ended up redoing another medical here in the US. Apparently, USCIS lost my medical info in between transfers of different service centers. It sucks coz we are paying for something they screwed up. Unfortunately when I did mine, I had to pay everything out of pocket since I didn't have medical insurance at the time. Good Luck on your journey!

If i don't find out what's wrong soon, i think the quickest way is to do another medical. I called the Uscis today and they gave me a number and told me to fax my RFE form so they can tell what's wrong. :)

Thank for your reply. I was told that I needed all of these vaccines listed in my DS-3025 when I did medical exam before K1 visa interview; however, the Panel Physician also told me I may need booster shots in 3 months, and if I were in US in 3 months, I could hand this form to American doctor to see whether needing booster shot or not; if I were still in China, I could come back this clinic to get them. In my DS-3025, I saw the result is "Vaccine History Incomplete-Applicant may be eligible for blanket waiver(s) because vaccination(s) not medically appropriate (as Indicated Above)." The time interval between my AOS application and my vaccination is less than 3 months, so I just gave a copy of DS-3025.

I would go back to the same CS with the RFE and have them redo the paperwork (for free). There must be a signature missing or something. If the copy you have is not a copy of what you sent, there is no way to verify what is wrong on the copy you sent. Just have the CS redo the paperwork.

AOS for my husband
8/17/10: INTERVIEW DAY (day 123) APPROVED!!

ROC:
5/23/12: Sent out package
2/06/13: APPROVED!

I was thinking of getting a full medical done. I just don't want another RFE. I don't know what to do for the best. It would help if i knew what the CS did wrong. I have a feeling they lost my medical. :(

You're still a little mixed up. There is no civil surgeon overseas. That person is a panel physician. A panel physician does not fill out an I-693. The overseas panel physician fills out DS-2053, DS-3024, DS-3025, DS-3026. In the case of the OP who attended a medical at Knightsbridge clinic in London, there is no copy on file. I spoke to them myself and they explained they are contracted by a third party (embassy) for medical exams. They forward all records to the third party (embassy) and do not retain any records in their office.

Doctor. I'll stick to doctor from now on.

K1 process, October 2010 > POE, July 2011

I-129F approved in 180 days from NOA1 date. (195 days from filing to NOA2 in hand)

Interview took 224 days from I-129F NOA1 date. (241 days from filing petition until visa in hand)

From filing I-129F petition until POE: 285 days

AOS process, December 2011 > July 2012

EAD/AP Approval took 51 days from NOA1 date to email update. (77 days from filing until EAD/AP in hand)

AOS Approval took 206 days from NOA1 date to email update. (231 days from filing until greencard in hand)

If they lost the medical they would say it was lost. Instead, it was the form I-693 you sent was not filled out right.

as far as i know, if your vaccination record (from original country) stated there that you have "complete" vaccination, then, you don't need a CS and the form I-693. But if your vaccination record (from orginal country) stated in the document that you have "incomplete" vaccination, then, you need the CS and the form I-693. for K1 visa holder and had their medical within 1 year then, the CS does not necessary have to do the complete medical exam but only to transcribed the I-693 form. you can verify such information from the USCIS website. go to "forms" click the I-693 form and download the I-693 instruction. you can read there that K1 with medical done in original country within one year doesn't need to have a full medical exam.

I suggest that if you have a copy of the I-693 that was sent that you scan it, block out the personal name etc and upload it here so we can see it. We should be able to see what's wrong that way.

Not quite. It's more complicated than "complete" vs "incomplete" being marked.
