The Smoking Gun has produced court documents telling us that Nakoula Basseley Nakoula, producer of the movie Innocence of Muslims, partnered with Eiad Salameh and that Nakoula was finally caught in 2009 for his role in a check-kiting ring that stole over $870,000 from six financial institutions by using stolen Social Security numbers and identities.

In this, we will show how this story is mired in FBI failure and the Eiad connection is crucial in unraveling more facts to this story, since many of his dealings with Nakoula can tell us more about his true motives.

After all, Eiad Salameh is my first cousin, a Palestinian Muslim from Beit Sahour in the Palestinian Bethlehem District.

Welcome to last week - I posted the info 10 days ago in the main thread. BTW Walid Shoebat is a known fraud who pals around with Pamela Geller.

So this is the (very curious) story so far:

Just a month after he is released from prison after serving a bank fraud sentence, a convicted felon and erstwhile gas station attendant (Nakoula Basseley Nakoula AKA "Sam Bacile" and a slew of other aliases) with no previous film experience supposedly hooks up with a B-movie & porn producer (Alan Roberts AKA "Robert Brownell" AKA "Robert Alan Brown") as well as a well-known Islamophobic hate-monger ("consultant" Steve Klein,) and an unemployed "former screenplay writer"/real estate operator (Jimmy Israel,) to produce a ridiculously bad film supposedly funded by (???who knows???) using an obscure Coptic Christian charity's production facility.

This same charity, oddly enough, suddenly went from less than $50,000 a year in revenues in 2008, to over $1 million a year in revenues in 2011 (also funded by ???who knows???)

Nakoula, strangely enough, is connected to Eiad Salameh (whereabouts currently unknown,) another fraudster who has been tracked by federal investigators for more than 10 years. According to Nakoula, Salameh was the leader of a bank fraud ring in which Nakoula was the "runner." Nakoula agreed to turn state witness against Salameh in return for a lighter sentence on his own fraud conviction. According to the charges against him, Salameh seems to be the same person as "Eiad Salameh Shu'aybat," who is accused of funding Syrian Christian terrorists.

Salameh also happens to be the first cousin of Walid Shoebat, who of course is the well-known self-proclaimed "former Muslim terrorist" who converted to Christianity and appears on TV from time to time as a supposed "terror expert" and anti-Islam spokesperson. (By the way, Walid Shoebat's claims of connections to terror have been exposed as fraud.)

Back to the film. The actors, many of whom are paid in cash by "Sam Bacile" with $20 bills from his pocket, are misled about the plot and intent of the production, and their dialogue is later crudely over-dubbed with words they didn't say. The film's dubbed version contains many scenarios referring to homosexuality, bestiality and pedophilia among the so-called "Muslim" subjects of the film, as well as many references to the supposedly superiority of Judaism over Islam. Although much of the plot involves supposed oppression of Coptic Christians, there are no references to any supposed superiority of Christianity.

An English-version 15-minute "trailer" is uploaded to YouTube in July 2012 by an account-holder named "Sam Bacile," and is virtually ignored.

The full-length film is supposedly screened just one time, in July 2012, in front of an empty house at a run-down theater in Hollywood.

In early September, activity suddenly steps up. An Arabic version of the short is uploaded to YouTube by ????. A Coptic Christian anti-Muslim activist (Morris Sadek) sends out press releases to Arabic media promoting the "trailer" in the days just before the anniversary of 9/11, and reportedly provides the film to Egyptian television stations. This implied connection between the film and Coptic Christian American supporters threatens to inflame tensions between Muslim and Coptic Christian Egyptians.

Meanwhile, the English version is reportedly offered for "distribution" to Islamophobic preacher Terry Jones (famous for his Qur'an burning stunts,) who schedules a 9/11 screening for the "trailer."

After the first violent protests begin in Egypt (led by Salafist groups,) "Sam Bacile" is reached by phone by an Associated Press reporter. He claims to be an Israeli real estate developer living in California, and that the film was funded with $5 million from "100 Jewish donors." Reached at his home, Klein immediately disputes those claims, but also claims he doesn't know the true identity of "Sam Bacile."

And of course this brings us to the most troubling part of the whole thing: on the anniversary of 9/11, an unknown group in Libya (according to reports, suspected to be a Salafist group which may possibly be connected with al Qaeda) uses the film as a cover to participate in - possibly even initiate - a violent riot outside the U.S. consulate in Benghazi, which it apparently uses as a decoy distraction for a pre-planned, coordinated two-wave attack, and ends up murdering U.S. Ambassador Chris Stevens, who also happens to be one of the staunchest Arabists in the State Department, after he flees and seeks shelter in a supposedly secret "safe house."
