So why was it transferred to NYC in the first place if it doesn't belong there? Still doesn't make any sense to me

September 25,2012- I-130 transferred to another office for processing because they now have jurisdiction over the case.

OK, now I really don't know what to believe any more. T2 officer says our i129f has been sent back to NBC, but i130 is still in NYC :wacko: I thought they are supposed to keep these two petitions together. Anyway, I guess there is no use of calling them at all. My husband has an infopass next Tuesday, although I am pretty sure it will be a waste of time as well... :devil:

09/17/12 --- I-130 sent to Phoenix mail box
09/20/12 --- NOA1 recieved via e-mail (CSC)
09/27/12 --- NOA1 hardcopy received
01/24/13 --- Called USCIS customer care and found that case was transferred to Local USCIS office (never got notice of it)
03/18/13 --- Submitted E-request as the petition is officially 180 days beyond
03/18/13 --- Tier2 ISO told the petition is at NBC.
04/01/13 --- We received email confirmation abt the E-request that we put in 2 weeks earlier
04/04/13 --- Went for infopass appointment at local office and they approved my petition and sent it to NBC
04/08/13 --- Received NOA2 today (date of NOA2 is 04/04/2013).

NVC Process

04/18/13 --- Called NVC for case number, they told that they got file on 04/15 asked us to call back of 20 business days
04/23/13 --- Called NVC and got the Case number and invoice identification number.

04/24/13 --- Sent DS-3032 by email.

04/29/13 --- Got AOS Fee email from NVC,

04/30/13 --- AOS Fee payment done online.

05/01/13 --- Send AOS documents packet by Fedex.

05/03/13 --- AOS Packet reached NVC.

05/06/13 --- Got Immigrant Visa Application Fee Bill Invoice email from NVC.

05/07/13 --- Packet IV Fee payment done online.

05/08/13 --- Send Packet IV documents by Fedex.

05/10/13 --- Packet IV reached NVC.

06/10/13 --- Got checklist email for i-864.

06/11/13 --- Corrected i-864 reached NVC.

well that was according to the USCIS customer service. it is hard to get a correct answer from USCIS customer care service if you call 3 times for same question you get 3 different answers. :angry:

so my wife went to see an immigration officer at local office on Friday, according to him since she is in US they called her for more evidence for our case and trying to speed things up. hopefully case will approve on first week of April.. :thumbs:

I spoke to USCIS Tier2 ISO today and came to know that my case has been sent to NBC from local field office and the decision would be taken with all the info given by local field office itseems. He also said that my petition is one step below the final decision and asked me to expect the update with 15 to 30 days!!! .... :( , so i need to wait more now..

You are not gonna believe their stupid bluff right? You can not believe because every time we call, we get different answer.

You need to go to Local office and find out.

Is there any way to find out what date a particular field office is currently processing? Our case is at NYC field office, NOA 1 of September 14 :crying:

I went to newark and was told that they are currently processing Nov/Dec files.

Izabela, quick question. How did you know that ur petition is in NYC field office?, i ask this because when i asked the Tier2 ISO, they said they do not know that info.

When I first called and had a talk with T2 officer, I was told that my case is at NBC, but when I called again after 2 weeks, I was told that it got transfer on JAn 9.You can not believe what they tell you. You will get different answers every time you call. You need to take an infopass appointment and physically go there to confirm, and that is what I did.

Hope you have some kind of good news from ur info pass appointment today..:)

It's the worst news I ever got! They told my husband that they received our case on Feb 26 and it's going to be 6-8 months from that date until they process it!!! I don't even want to believe this could be true!!! So what, the five months from Sep to Feb are like nothing?!? He also had an appointment with the congressman's immigration director, who said she would try to help... But I'm just losing all the hope... :crying: They obviously think they can do whatever they want
