Hello once again my dear fellow potential americans :P , i have a interesting question for all of you, especially to those members who had been in the US for few years. i have always lived in the city all my life, i got married moved to US from Canada(originally from India). my wife and her family call themselves Hillbillies from the Country.yeah,we live in the Midwest surrounded by Corn and Soy.the Land mass is so huge that sometimes i feel i am living on the MARS.you can drive a car here on a country road blindfolded and still make it to your home :P being not a very social person i am loving this change so far.we have a huge home amongst trees and a huge yard that i enjoy mowing. My wife is a RN and i have Masters degree in Engineering.she earns and i am currently waiting for my work authorization.so, i am at the house most of the time and waits for the Mail guy to bring our daily mail(comes around noon).this is like my number one entertainment at the moment.to me,it has its own charm because there is nothing else to do.me and my wife belongs to two completely different religious and cultural backgrounds.she is a typical mid-west native american blonde where as i come from Northern India from a beautiful little city called chandigarh.i was wondering how similar a human being is all around the globe,as i have lived in a couple of countries other than my native country and noticed a lot of people.they are basically the same.they laugh at the same things, they get jealous of similar things and the color of the skin and your geographic condition does not matter.i personally found a lot of similarities between the two most distinctive races that i have been with.it surprises me and make me happy. i must bring my question up now, was just sharing my story thinking it will burst a little bit of stress among the fellow AOS wait club members.ok,i got this MAIL today from the US Dept. of Commerce or US census Dept. asking us to fill in the total number of people residing at the property.my question is Shall i or do i have to or will i be counted as a occupant of the house ? considering my legal status , i am still in Status as per my I-94 and also we have Filed for AOS a month back (fingerprinting done) and now waiting for the Govt to respond .i have no idea about this situation but i am certain that people must have had this situation. Moreover, i assume this is not really a important thing to do.i may or may not choose to disclose my information but i am asking this for my personal knowledge.i hope to get some information from the fellow members.Cheers !

P.S - thanks for taking the time to read.

If you are still with your body and not on a solely spiritual level, you would count as a person, and if you live in your house, you would be counted as one.

Glad to be of help.

There is no room in this country for hyphenated Americanism. When I refer to hyphenated Americans, I do not refer to naturalized Americans. Some of the very best Americans I have ever known were naturalized Americans, Americans born abroad. But a hyphenated American is not an American at all . . . . The one absolutely certain way of bringing this nation to ruin, of preventing all possibility of its continuing to be a nation at all, would be to permit it to become a tangle of squabbling nationalities, an intricate knot of German-Americans, Irish-Americans, English-Americans, French-Americans, Scandinavian-Americans or Italian-Americans, each preserving its separate nationality, each at heart feeling more sympathy with Europeans of that nationality, than with the other citizens of the American Republic . . . . There is no such thing as a hyphenated American who is a good American. The only man who is a good American is the man who is an American and nothing else.
