K1 packet 3.5 submitted, two weeks passed still no interview date, when to contact?

Hi,

My fiance sent back the packet 3.5 for K1 Visa to the Islamabad embassy on September 13th. It has been almost two weeks and we haven't heard anything about the interview date. I am guessing that the unrest in Pakistan is contributing to the delay. When should I contact the embassy to get the status? Is there a website just like the USCIS one that might be able to show us the status using the ISL case number?

It takes between 15 to 18 working days to get a responce... these days they are a bit slower due to the ocassional closing of the embassy.

A method to check the status is dependant on how and were the packet 3.5 was submitted. example American Express the location we sent ours has a website to track visa status.. it was updated when the responce was recieved and sent. I think i am maybe about 2 months ahead of your current step.

You just hit two weeks, so it should be coming soon. For us it was in our 3rd week but was actually pretty close to being exactly 4 weeks from sending the packet to recieving the interview letter.

Patience is virtue my friend. Be patient. This is a very long journey and one needs to be patient. You will get your interview date soon.

Thank you very much for the replies! They gave us an interview date the next day (Sept. 28) The interview date is November 7th though.
