Point of Entry and Travel Questions

I am making travel arrangements for my fiancé. She just received the visa and I just want to make sure I don't mess up booking her flight. I had a huge hassle flying in due to Orbitz mess up my routing so I am now very careful to double check everything.

For her to get to her point of entry will she need anything more than her stamped passport. I imaging she will connect in Hong Kong or Tokyo, any issues there.

Orbitz routed me though Bejing and really complicated my visit but that is another story. What about the point of entry. I will bring her to the Miami airport but the POE will probably be Chicago, San Francisco or Los Angeles. At POE she will be asked some questions and show the visa and give them the sealed packet? What is the better POE?

Anything else to know?

Thanks in advance.

My wife came through Chicago in April of 2011. Her stamped passport and brown envelope is all she needed. They just asked her a few basic questions like do you love your Fiancee? When do you plan on getting married. She was through customs in about 10 minutes. Good luck!

Yup that is about it - Passport with visa and CFO sticker, DO NOT OPEN envelope. And bring a pen as she will need to complete the I-94 on the airplane before landing.

Your on the other coast from me so don't know about POE for your wife, we came through Honolulu which was very easy and not crowded.

i had my POE in San Francisco and i had a smooth entry. They just asked me several questions, read some parts on what's inside my brown envelope, showed them my visa and passport and then greeted me Welcome to USA! :)

^^^Nope...not if she's simply catching a connecting flight.

Every time we have flown that route Immigration was in Guam and we cleared Customs in Hawaii. This was on Continental/United.

I live in Las Vegas and always try to get a flight using LV as POE. Very fast and only a few international flights arriving at the same time. 30 mins or less to clear customs and immigration.

I had the same experience in the workers affirmative action paradise of Atlanta. The clerk actually threw papers he did not need back at me. If I had not been on the wrong side of customs in a secure area it would have been on
