Processing I-130s in London

I'm DCF London, and our petitions were received August 6th.

The london embassy site says they're processing petitions filed July 20th, as of Oct 27th. However, they've been processing July 20th petitions since October 16th.

http://www.usembassy.org.uk/dhs/uscis/i130filing.html

Does this happen often? Why do they have such delays? Does it ever jump forward significantly? I'm all worried now that they'll be stuck at July 20th for the next 3 months or something!

2006

July 30th - sent off I-130s

August 7th - I-130s filed with USCIS and we receive our notification postcard a few days later

When I did DCF through London the same thing happened sometimes it would stay at the same date then it would jump forward. Dont worry it usually speeds up during the winter months.

Woohoo! I just checked that too. That's cool, it just suddenly jumped way ahead!

Suddenly I'm scared that we don't have everything we need....no we do have everything...just waiting on the I-864 from the joint sponsor....I've been nagging them to get it to us, so hopefully really soon.

Yup we have the police certificate. We are in Scotland so just got the Scotland one and it only took a week!

Kids need to get a vaccination, which is causing some issues (because it's the hep B which is a course for 7+ months.) but husband is up to date with his. And we have all the other stuff filled in. I have my tax forms etc.

Double check on the police certificate for your own sake and sanity. I lived in Scotland too, but had to get a copy of my Scottish Police Report (which I got from the local district) and then application that I initially filled out was forwarded onto Scotland Yard to get the National one. It took a little over 40 days to get the National one, and in my interview I had to show both.

Really? It had on the form a bit to check for Scotland, and one to check for England and Wales. I figured since he's only ever lived in Scotland the one for England and Wales would be irrelevant.

As far as I know you need it for the whole UK. Call your local police station and they will tell you if they forwarded it onto Scotland Yard. If not you'll probably need it.

I DCFed on 1 August. I got a response from them yesterday asking us to visit them for an interview on our I-130 petition. Hope you'll also get a response from them very soon.

I'm DCF London, and our petitions were received August 6th.

Birdy, did you already send in the DS-2001 and DS-230 part I? We hadn't sent ours yet, but I just found out we are able to send them before the I-130s are approved. I hadn't realised we could do that. I figured since they're processing August 20 now though we might as well wait to hear from them before sending it out.

This isnt a visa interview. It is to do something with my petition. It's a bit strange coz I never heard that people are actually called for an interview on their i130 petition as well.

Yes you can start your immigrant visa process if your i130 have be accepted for DCF. We didnt do it coz we didnt want our process to be to quick. We plan to stay in england till end of 2007.

They asked us to come in on 22nd Nov.

I do wonder, if anyone else have been called for an interview on I-130 petition? if yes what is it about?

Birdy, what date did they give you, this would help fatty see how long they are going to wait?
