I think you're smoking crack -- would be very fair to say Michael Savage is hard on both parties (he is constantly tearing Bush a new one), but not Rush

I explained what it means earlier in the thread--like Canadian "Progressive Conservative" aka "Tory" of 1984-1993 (when the party leader and Canada PM was Brian Mulroney, known to nearly all Canadians by 1993 as "Myron Baloney" for his many shenanigans in office--Meech Lake Accord and GST amongst these).

Basically, this is about "average" republican (my assessment).

As for your assumption ("assume 'no' if I don't know"), I'm going to assume yes (that you're like "average" republican)

To be honest, I don't know a lot about Canadian politics, but I would call myself a libertarian. I support economic liberalism, with a limited social welfare provision. I initially registered to vote as a Republican, voted for Bush senior in 88 and like many of the Republicans that came in the early 90s -- II'm currently registered as an Independent. I have voted for Republican, Democrat and Independent candidates throughout the years.

I had couldn't vote in recent primaries as I did not affiliate with any party.

It's going to be difficult voting on 11/7--the last three times I voted (1984, 1993, 2000) in Canada, I at least had anger against one of the parties or candidates (first time, against Trudeau; second, Mulroney; third Chretien--because of his 1982 NEP which few Calgarians can forget or forgive); unfortunately, I can't say I have sufficient anger against MD's current admin to make this "simplified" choice.
