What is the best way to bring a wedding dress to the US without getting it crushed or soiled? Will using a shipping carrier work? Should she take it as a carry on on the plane as a hand item? If so how should she pack it and meet the Delta travel criteria? Any ideas will be appreciated.

We just got back last Friday with a Wedding dress. Much like everyone here we just packed it very carefully in a big suitcase. It was fine. In fact , it is at the cleaners now. Get prepared you are probably going to spend more in the u.S. to get it cleaned than you paid for it.

My fiancee put her wedding in a suitcase. I just picked it up from the cleaners and all they had to do was iron it. Some places wanted $80 to press it. However this cleaner charged only $12.00 and they did an awesome job.

Bring the dress and get it drycleaned here is the best way. Spent $600 on a dress for a shotgun wedding here. She said I should have told her to bring a dress for the wedding. I guess I was thinking about everthing else

You are right. My fiancee paid around $125 for a beautiful wedding dress in the Philippines and got it pressed here in the US for $12. She would have had to pay around $1000 for a similar dress in the US.
