Sounds like common sense. Did you think it was acceptable to dip a spoon that's been in someone's mouth back into the food container for another helping?

No I always dip spoon, taste and put it to wash. Then when ready to taste again - get another clean spoon.

Exactly - first time doing food service volunteer work serving hundreds of people. A far cry from my regular office job.

You work in an office? Some people have all the luck.

For the record, you have not outright confirmed nor denied that you are Mr. Smiley.

I deny that I am Mr. Smiley.

You should've done your penance a long time ago for using your active hours at work watching movies. Did you finally get caught that's why you were mandated to volunteer and serve people?

Yep and going from cooking at home to serving hundreds is a different mind set.

Who's gonna pick up the slack here at VJ while your gone?

We both have our smart phones - you never know - we might be checking up on things.

You could shame the needy people to posting for you in exchange for their free meals. Imagine how many posts you could accumulate in 12 hours with hundreds of people posting at once, amazing!

My wife and I will be doing volunteer work on Friday all day (7 AM to 7 PM) - serving food. Here is an interesting food safety policy that we never knew.

Taste-testing - use the two-spoon method (use one spoon to pour the food item into another spoon). This

allows the same item to be tested several times using the same spoons.

Brilliant ! what if yer handling the soup and all yer given is forks?

And do you see any need to be taste testing the food the two of you will be serving ?

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.
