Case transferred twice in less than a week!

Hello!

We received our NOA1 on 9/10/2012. Then on 9/18/2012 we checked our status and saw that our case had been transferred because of jurusdiction. Then on 9/24/2012 our online status showed that our had been transferred and was now being processed at a USCIS office (no mention of jurisdiction this time).

Now, I'm a USC living abroad so, as I understand it, this couldn't be an interview approaching. Has this ever happened to anyone before? Any clues as to what this might mean?

Not sure but I'm hoping that our petition doesn't get moved around so much. We are recent filers too. Im curious as to if and how this affects the process....keep us filled in plz

I plan to file this week, and all of this transferring business seems to be slowing down that *un-spoken, expedited rule that a lot of filing abroad CR-1's were having between the NOA1&NOA2! I remember it took someone 11days to get both NOA1 and there NOA2, but now? That 2 week process seems to be a pipe dream now

There's been posts about this a couple of pages back. Something about a back log at the main USCIS centers so they're evening out the load.

I was hoping for the auto-expedited queue, as well. We'll see how it goes.

hey manchu, we are a couple living abroad in chile as well, and i sent my petition just a few days after yours. so far it seems to be just sitting at the CSC. i will update my timeline as well to let you know if anything similar happens. hopefully we both get auto-expedited and everything goes well!! suerte

Hey Ebe, nice hearing from someone else in the exact same situation as ourselves. Files seem to be getting transferred a week or so after NOA1 (this is happening to a lot of people right now) so you are still a day or two early. I'll keep our timeline updated with anything and everything that happens to our file, no matter how insignificant

We called them too and all they say is that is has been transfered and that we should wait for a notice of transfer lol We still don't know where it was sent, but I guess MO

Hey manchu, the same thing happened to me yesterday. I logged in on the USCIS portal and it says: "On September 27, 2012, we transferred this I130 IMMIGRANT PETITION FOR RELATIVE, FIANCE(E), OR ORPHAN to another office for processing because they now have jurisdiction over the case. We sent you a notice of this transfer. Please follow any instructions on this notice. "

They always talk about how they've sent us things, I guess they mean by normal mail? I haven't received anything yet except for the initial email that says they got the packet. I guess I will get a bunch of mail to our apartment in Chile at some point in the long future??

Also, how do I know where it was transfered TO??

Hey ebe. I'm glad to hear that from you, it means that what is happening is part of a regular, albeit new, process. NOA1 then transfer (with jurisdiction cause) about a week later. Let's see if in another week you get transferred again like I did.

Regarding where your case was transferred to, I suppose we'll get something in the mail about that. I got my NOA1 yesterday, it took 15 days to get here, so maybe around next week I'll get something about the first transfer. Your times should be similar if you are in Santiago.

Whether we'll get auto-expedited like other people have, only time will tell, I guess.

We hope that's the case and not something else that might delay our case. We'll keep our timeline updated.

Nobody knows unfortunately.We can only wait and see what happens.A lot of ppl have been transfered from CSC to NBC.Some say because of overflow some because there was a glich in the system and it just trows app around so that they can eventualy come back from where they started aka CSC Nobody knows

It would be so nice to see that somebody from this bunch of transfered caases from august and september have been approved That would give us some hope at least
