but do I have to wait till my husband gets an interview date in Yemen?

and do I have to be in Jordan with him?

Since I recall you saying your case has already been sent to Sanaa, you'll probably have to take up that request with them. Good luck with that. Their consular services are closed until the end of this week, according to the email they sent my fiance. This information wasn't shared on their website of course.

You should definitely try to be with your husband for the interview, whether it's in Jordan or Yemen. I will endeavor to do that as well, hell or high water. It can't hurt and can only help, given how much of a "high fraud" embassy Sanaa is. But it won't be easy to get a visa to Yemen unless you already have a Yemeni passport. They are not issuing tourist visas to Americans anymore.

I would avoid transferring the case if possible (though they may not give you a choice). I remember some VJ posters transferred to Jordan last year complaining that they couldn't get their medicals completed because the doctors in Jordan couldn't do khat drug tests, a requirement for Yemenis seeking to immigrate to the US. Apparently they had to wait until the Sanaa embassy reopened anyway!
