Just got home from having lunch for some kind of celebration  after we got Approved from our interview.

We were scheduled around 11:15 AM, we got there like 10:45 AM passed the security and handed the receptionist the Appointment Letter and told us to go to the 2nd floor and wait for our name to be called.

When we got there we saw a lot of people already waiting for their time to be interviewed.

We got our name called like almost 12:00 noon. The IO greeted us how are we and apologized for the delay because they have a lot of people there that are for Naturalization process / oath taking.

He led us to his office and asked us that before we sit down he has to make us oath to tell the truth on all the questions and after that he let us sit in.

He introduced himself and asked for our IDs just to verify that we are the people were supposed to be B-)

I gave my state ID my husband gave his DL and he returned it back to us and he said he will ask the questions first on me the applicant.

Asked basic questions in the I-485 Form about full name, address, birth date and he started reading on the form the date when I came here.

Then he went through some of the questions in I-485 about that "have you been" and all my answer is NO.

After that he said now either of you can answer my next questions. He asked us how long have we known each other, how long have we been together, how did we met and my husband as person that knows how to talk to people did most of the talking but I did some a little bit like when we went on some trip and stuff like that and the IO even is laughing with us. He then asked me if I like living here, what did I like here compared to California and Philippines so I answered that in a very relaxing way but my husband said after the interview my voice is a little bit shaky.

After that he asked for some pictures so we showed him our photo album which we arranged in a certain timeline like when we first met, our travels, and described it to him when it was, who are the people who are with us but he's not asking us we are just describing it to him. Then he passed some pictures and looked on our wedding pictures and we said that it was just a simple ceremony not a lavish kind of wedding.

He also asked for any documents to support the marriage so I handed him our joint bank account statement, credit card info, costco information, power and cable bill. He looked a little bit on it then he said I have nothing much to say except that I will approved you guys right now   except that he said the system is down or something but he told us within the day we should receive an update on our case status.

He said I will get a conditional GC for were only married for less than a year and we should received it within 7-10 days, and explained to us filing I-751 within the 90 day period of expiration, and he said 3 years from today I can apply for my Naturalization. After that he asked if we have any questions.

I asked if I can have my name change to my husbands last name and he said yes  and he asked what would be my middle name (like a second name) and I don't have one so I got confused :blink: with that and my husband asked the IO what can he advised us so he said just have your maiden name as your middle name so that's it. He printed a form and have us checked if everything is correct so hopefully when I get my GC my name is changed to my husband's last name.

And that's it. He's super nice and relaxed, no problem at all. We stood up and my husband hugged me right in front of the IO and we went out of the office and he escorted us out of the hallway and told us to have a great day.

And an hour ago received a text from USCIS Case Status: Card/Document Production.

Now just have to wait to receive my Green Card.

Thank God its done were both relieved and happy and its just such a peace of mind to have it done.
