Despite getting my NOA2 a little while back now, I've had a slight delay as the actual NOA2 form never made it to my Fiancee's address in the US so I wanted to ensure she had it before I submitted my DS-230 etc to the embassy in London.

So tomorrow I will be mailing my DS-230, DS-156/7 etc etc..

I seem to recall seeing that there was a fee associated somewhere along the line here? Maybe in the region of a couple of hundred?

Is this something I have conjured in my imagination, or am I supposed to pay a fee when submitting my documents to the embassy in London?

It's all becoming a bit hazy with the number of forms and steps.

All I know is it's getting closer! :)

You'll find the fee on this page and how you pay it. http://london.usembassy.gov/immigrant-visas/iv_fees.html

Excuse my need for re-assurance of what's stated on that page.

But that means I file my forms, and after I receive my appointment date for the interview, I make the payment over the phone.

Therefore I DO NOT need to pay anything when I mail this tomorrow?

Thanks for your help and excuse my panic!

You are correct. Some people pay before they get their date because they want to, but it does not influence them to give you an appointment any sooner. As long as you pay prior to going to the interview then you're ok. You get an email receipt to show at the interview.

Your interview assignment is based on London receiving

  1. The application forms (no documents with them)
  2. Medical results
  3. Readiness for interview form with cover letter

Your delay getting the NOA2 form was not needed. You will need that piece of paper for adjustment of status, not for your interview.

I figured that was the case for the NOA2 form, but to be honest, the NOA2 came a little earlier than anticipated so I was caught off guard a little and that also contributed to the delay!

And thanks for the confirmation and breakdown above. Appreciate the help and fast response.
